Mike Tyson Released, Puts Lohan to Shame

16. to: jj.... you get a gold star for the day... that was pure gold!! But to get serious for a moment... Mike Tyson quit being the great fighter, and a relative good person when his trainer, his masiah, Gus DiMato died years and years ago when Mike was about 22 years old. He took might out of the ghetto, this 16 yr. manchild, and got him off the streets into the gym and made him the fighter he was. Mike loved Gus and his wife who died a few years later....... Along comes Don King... and need I say, Mike the great boxer, Mike the decent man, was gone forever!! It was King who had the great idea to have Mike be a judge in the Miss Black America contest in Indianapolis... unchaparoned at that! Needless to say, that did'nt work out to well for Mike.... Nothing against Indiana, but I lived there, there is still alot of
lets say, intolerance for bad black mans behaviour (I am white). He did'nt have a chance with that jury... The best Mike has ever been is with the old white couple the DiMatos, back when they took him in and basically saved him from a life of prison.... sometimes I think Mike is lucky to not be serving a long prison sentence for some of his decisions in life...

18. Monte, I do agree with you. Tyson is lucky he isn't serving a long prison sentence after some of the things he's done and I am not counting Desiree Washington either. Granted, he's a thug and such but I don't believe for a second he raped her. Tyson's arrogant attitude got him in trouble more than anything in that one.

I also agree whenever Cus D'Amato died along with Jimmy Jacobs, Mike Tyson the great fighter and the decent human being he was becoming pretty much died with them. He reverted back to those old thug ways of his and having Don King around didn't help either. Not sure about Robin Givens though. I used to be anti-Givens but who knows what went on in that marriage.

Back to the subject, Tyson is very lucky that 24 hours in jail is all he got with his record.
