26. Do some of you not read? They aren't the same person and no one said the National Geographic girl was a supermodel. The one on the right is in fact Helena Christensen and she was born in Denmark. The National Geographic pic was in fact from a 1985 issue. It was taken of an Afghani girl.

27. Hardee, the one on the right looks a hell of a lot better than Helena, in spite of living a hard life without ANY of the advantages Helena has/had. Just goes to show that without all their bags of tricks, most of these models/actresses are a lot worse looking than the average girl on the street - or the average, hard-living refugee. Smoke and mirrors.....take it all away and this is what you get - THE TRUTH.

28. The girl on the National Geographic cover was dubbed "The Afghan Girl", because the photographer didn't know her name. There was a show on Discovery (I think) not that long ago, called "Finding the Afghan Girl" where they went back recently and tried to track her down. They succeeded! It was pretty interesting. She was in a refugee camp; the photo was random- the girl wasn't a model. I think her green eyes are gorgeous and haunted.
