48. #46 fyi>cindy crawford diiiid graduate,and by the way i really dont think graduating has anything to do with how far you go in life...its your desire to want to go as far as youd like, and get a deeper education along the way.theres more to education than just confined to schooling.that woman is smart because of the situations shes been in not because she graduated>we continue to educate ourselves as we go threw lifes trials!!! and if you have money yer better able to get around and absorb all u can learn from!!!

50. Deb - I so agree that travel is the ultimate education. Still, it would be a nice example for her kids if, as she's rich, she completed her formal education. Depending on your looks alone is not the best example. Just as there are many who play sports but few who make a fantastic living at it in the end, there are many who are good looking but will need to earn a wage eventually with their smarts rather than their faces.

51. I don't get the mean comments about her husband's looks. His torso looks muscular - certainly more fit than the average American male his age - and so what if his hair is receeding? He's handsome.

biography



Cynthia Ann Crawford was born February 20, 1966, in De Kalb, Illinois. Cindy's big break stemmed from a lucky meeting she had with a newspaper photographer when she was 16 years old. During their chance encounter, the photographer insisted on taking a picture of Cindy, who was pollinating corn at the time. The photo and the positive feedback surrounding Cindy's photogenic talents were enough to convince her to quit her summer job and take up modeling.

Following two summers of modeling with Elite Model Management in Chicago, the all-American beauty decided to focus on expanding her mindset rather than her portfolio. Specifically, Cindy traded in the glamorous life a model (at least temporarily) to study chemical engineering at Northwestern University on scholarship.

The former high school valedictorian pulled off the same exceptional grades in college as in high school, but she didn't stick around long enough to see where a degree in engineering would have taken her as she left school in order to pursue a full-time modeling career. After working for photographer Victor Skrebneski in Chicago and becoming a success, Cindy took her supermodel assets to New York City in 1986.
