I have to say that I was happy and frankly impressed when I saw Lindsay saying to some interviewer that she had in her own estimation achieved something special that maybe the guy was failing to give her appropriate credit for when she played identical twins in The Parent Trap. It was kind of SOOO Lindsay it seemed because on the one hand she was uncomfortable being forced into the position of having to toot her own horn, but nonetheless, on the other hand, determined to say what needed to be said in service of the obvious truth of the matter.

She did do a great job, a professional job, and it happens to be no coincidence that the film was shot... like... just before our American Girl stepped over the threshold of puberty and into the hell of a fine mess she found waiting for her, what with all the other changes including her parents divorce, which is to say that many have lost sight of who the real girl is: a real trooper, ready, willing and able to always do her best for the team.
