Pop punk couple Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley went shopping in L.A. yesterday, hitting up the swankiest establishment in the city -- the 99 Cent Store! 
Avril must be pinching pennies since her concert ticket sales aren't selling like expected. Or she's just buying clothes.

49. TMZ what is your deal? What is wrong with buying a couple of Advent Calendars the very hard to find at a 99cent store? It sounds like they are being prudent and wise with their money. You guys really need to find respectable jobs the contribute to society rather than making a sport out of putting down celebrities, especially ones that are being responsible. Here is an idea why don't you report on all of the charitable events and organizations that celebrities give their time and money too, or anything that is in some way constructive to the society we all must live in. I would hate to be a celebrity if I had to contend with the losers like the staff at TMZ.
