Eyewitness: Minnie and Matthew Evacuated

A Malibu resident told KNBC that she knocked on the homes of both Minnie Driver and Matthew McConaughey this morning to tell them they had to leave their homes due to the fire.

No word on whether or not Matthew was wearing a shirt at the time.

His rep tells us that he was evacuated, but that everything is fine. A rep for Minne could not be reached.

There may be other places as pretty as Malibu but not with ocean views and private beach access .
The town was easy to close off from regular society, which they have pretty much done there. Yet still be close enough to their jobs.
They feel safer in numbers, but at such a price.

17. Hey #13 - rminva - tell your friend-who-lost-everything that Life is all about choices. Lots of people make sensible choices so we don't suffer gladly the fools who don't make sensible choices. Would your friend's stuff be worth more than a firefighter's life?

So a friend of a friend lost everything they own in this fire and you came onto TMZ to admonish posters?
Your as bright as those living and rebuilding in Maliburn.

Putting firefighters at risk on a regular basis can bring just so many oh how sad comments I might add.

19. It would be a terrible, terrible loss to western culture to lose the homes of two such great thespians.

20. These people have chosen to live in and area prone to fires. Its beautiful but fires happen. All so mud slides, which there will be a lot of this winter because of the fires. More homes will be destroyed. Dont forget this is where these people have chosen to live.

23. WOW!!
Minnie AND Mathew had to evacuate!!!!!
What about the rest of the hundreds/thousands that evacuate???
Is their life or possessions less important than the celebs you need to splash on your page?? I like to read celeb gossip now and then, but this is idiotic.

You are so right. I cannot believe that the LAPD or LAFD were not there FIRST to alert EVERY resident of the neighborhood.

Did anyone of you readers of TMZ and the like realize that people like criminal Scott Peterson and The newest so called "Stars" of "Reality TV are considered "Celebrities?"
The new version of the word Celebrity means nothing.
Google it for yourselves. The "Laguna Beach and The Hills" come first to my mind. HOW FAKE! Oh........Don't forget about "The Real Orange County Housewives.".

It's all so scripted , it' s not even funny.

Minnie Driver, Sally Field etc. Are ACTORS. Let's celebrate them and the people who worked hard for it and honed their chosen craft. They are the one's that ENTERTAIN us in a human way.

This is not an appropriate place to post this, I know. I truly wish everyone well in the fire areas and my best to the firemen.

But everytime I see a picture of MMcC, I can't help but think what an awesome couple he and Jennifer Aniston would make...

26. When there's a fire raging like this no matter where, it's not about who, but what...first everyone's safety and lives, then it's not about the houses that burn, but for everyone, there are the things that cannot be replaced, such as personal family pictures, and again, lives. I don't think at anytime when this occurs can it be humourous. My brother lives right near there, and we all worry about the danger involved. They have their suitcases packed to go. It's a terrible thing, and fire is so unpredictable which is why it is so dangerous for our firefighters to risk their lives to save others...yet they sure don't get paid the staggering amounts that movie stars get for just sitting pretty. God Bless them all. It's a terrible thing.
