DL's lower limb motor skills are impaired, combined with muscle atrophy. She will walk with physical therapy.
She should at least crawl when she is propped to walk and I see no evidence of her wanting to do that. She just flails at this time. She walks with assistance like a 5-6 month old.

62. I just got done looking at the video she is really a very cute little girl. And while I'm glad we got to see DannieLynn and I don't think Larry got paid for these pictures, in my opinion this was a definate staged performance. I do not believe paparazzi are camped out at his door, they were notified as to where they were going to be. The reason I feel this was staged is because Larry made sure that he put her on the ground trying to show that she can walk, that was not walking, the baby still does not walk. As far as a child being considered "in normal range" if they are not walking up until the age of 18 months while I am not going to dispute that as I have not researched it, I have never heard of this and at best would go to "delayed development". I wonder why she was not in a stroller, what parent goes shopping with their child at that young of an age and does not put them in a stroller especially if they can walk, again I think it was to TRY and show that she walks since so much has been posted about it, so don't think that people are not reading these blogs. Anyone who is a parent knows that if you try to hold a child who walks they will not stay in your arms they squirm all over the place trying to get you to put them down so that they can take off. If DannieLynn truly could walk and say a few words I would bet that there would be a home video out there somewhere proving to those who think differently. It's been said that Larry is detached from the baby, since I have not been privy to their personal interactions I will not speak to that however whether he is or isn't she has a nanny and we all know that the reason for a nanny is to give primary care to a child and while walking and talking is a motivated behavior that is something that the nanny should be doing if her own father is not, I highly doubt the nanny is carrying her around all day. There may be a day where DannieLynn can actually walk on her own and hopefully speak but it is not now and the reason why people question it is because it goes to the discussion of "delayed development" because of ANS drug use, something that those who support Stern and Larry do not want to admit. Personally speaking I would love to see a video of DanieLynn walking in a park and babbling a few words, I would have no problem being proved wrong because my main concern is the health and welfare of this innocent little baby.

63. 36. Just because Dannielynn isn't walking does not mean she is not normal. A baby who walks at 18 months of age is still considered in the "normal" range. Learning to walk is mostly motivation. A child who is carried around a lot may not be as motivated to start walking.

A lot of children at that age do not like wearing shoes or just simply won't keep them on.

An almost 15 month old holding a bottle is nothing to be excited about--unless she started doing it at 5-6 months.......and I did not see her starting to walk-----she does not even support her own weight. I PRAY she is ok.....I hope Larry is having her evaluated regularly.

What truth would you like me to own up to? Lots of people in Larry's hometown still support him. That's what people in Kentucky do. We stand behind and support the people we care about. Kentuckians are not fair weathered friends...support you one minute and then not the next just because some people perceive things to be a certain way.

68. Unless I missed something I have never read where anybody called DannieLynn retarded. Our concern is that she has developmental delays, we can only hope that she is seeking therapy and treatment for them and they are not being ignored by those close to her.

71. Yeah Tiny, I agree with you. If Dannielynn could actually walk AND/OR talk, Larry would have sold that video to the highest bidder and we would have seen it all over the internet already. When you have to still hold the baby's weight up, that IS NOT considered walking! This is just his pitiful attempt to try to make people THINK she is not developmentally delayed, when actually she is. I hope to God that he has her in some type of physical therapy to help strenthen her motor skills and also that he has her cognitive development tested.

Come on Larry, prove all us skeptics wrong and post a video of her walking WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO HOLD HER UP!
