16. There is nothing wrong with saying "...and the talented Glenn Close..." Why, oh why, does everybody writing or talking about people in the entertainment world, from print media to the blogosphere to TV entertainment shows, think that they need to call every actress "beautiful?" Do you think we're going to believe you rather than our own eyes? I've also heard and read Meryl Streep, Debra Messing, Oprah, referred to as beautiful. Talented? Maybe. Beautiful? You should know that if we are able to read TMZ.com, we are not blind. If you are going to say that all people are beautiful because of their talent, please explain to what the overused word refers.
