31. First of all God bless the Taylor family. I cant believe some of the comments I have read here. People downgrading the man. So what , what type of life style he lived. He was still a human being. Just think, it could have been one of your family members.

32. Yes it is sad for his family but I doubt this was a robbery or home invasion. First a knife was left on his bed a week or so before. That sends a message. Shortly thereafter someone bursts into his bedroom and shoots him. Hmmmmm. I agree with T this was payback

Shut up ICEMAN you racist pig..........the differance between the conserned citizen and a thug is that the concerned citizen is trained and quilified with the use of his firearm , their firearms are registered and stowed properly, the concerned citizen aquires a carrying permit if he attends to carry the firearm on his body, and he usaully uses a holster designed to carry the firearm safely. The thug buys his gun of the street, has no training on how to use it safely or even properly, and carrys it around in his belt like some gangbanger in low buget movie.

Now that being said, Mr. taylor was a great football player and will be sadly missed. This is truely a sad day. How ever it is not an excuse to encite racism angainst "white NRA members" I dont know the circumstances of Mr. Taylors firearm arrest, but can say that if he had a legal firearm at his disposal and knew how to use it, he may be alive today.

35. first of all my condolences go out to the whole taylor family. second of all shut your mouth and stop talkin trash on someone you dont even know. obiously he needed a gun and maybe it wasnt because he is a thug. when you are a superstar in the nfl and people know you have all the money in the world then even you stupid idiots who have nothin better to do but to put someone down would get protection for yourself too. how are you idiots going to call him a thug when he has done more in his young life then you have ever done.

37. Another fatherless child....the toll of the gangsta lifestyle is quite high. Gangsta is as gansta does.....when we stop idolizing gansta thugs, regardless of their athletic/musical ability, our society will be on the road to a better future. As long as we continue to raise on a pedestal, and make heroes out of, punks then we will continue down a long glidepath to cultural dissolution. God bless the little girl, she didn't choose her father....but let's not make this excellent athlete some kind of martyr. The facts of the killing, that we know so far, clearly point to a gangsta feud, retaliation, or some kind of bad business. Mr Taylor was a convicted violent felon who had been involved in multiple shooting incidents in the past.....God rest his soul......

41. Observer - please detail those "multiple shooting incidents in the past." Are you confusing him with Pac Man Jones? Yes, Taylor has a misdemeanor conviction but look at the facts of that case. He wasn't a thug, and by all accounts so far, he had be making significant changes since the birth of his daughter. He wasn't a "gangsta." He was in HIS HOME sleeping with his family. What facts "so clearly" point to a gangsta feud? Not even the police are saying that at this point.

I'm not a football fan or even a fan of Sean Taylor's, but nothing that I've heard so far leads me to think he deserved this in any way. Sorry that your fatherless life makes you so bitter and cynical.

He beat a man senseless with a gun. He spit in Michael Pittman's face. He had a kid without getting married. His home was broken into twice within one month- I do not think so. It was a bad deal that went down. He was a THUG and paid the price.
