78. To "life is short": Yes IT DOES matter what type of life he lived, because then this most likely would NOT have happened. And that is the part that bothers me the most. We are not being insensitive. Yes anyone can be a victim of crime, and it is a tragedy. No one is GLAD it happened, but the reasons why are just as important. You are being naive if you think that he had nothing to do with this. That is all I am saying. I just dont believe that this is a random act. The first thing they will probably ask his family is if he had any enemies. Then the story will come together. It almost sounds like a "hit". That in itself implies that he had some shady dealings. Many loved him and admired his talent, my heart goes out to his family. We are not "downgrading him" just because we say these things.
It makes me angry when I see our black men make it out of the hood only to still hold on to the hood mentality and eventually have it ruin their lives and the lives around them. This was senseless to say the least.
The real story will be much more telling. It could have even been a jealous lover situation, who knows, but random..I dont think so.

80. It is so sad to see all of these people assuming they knew what kind of life he led. So he beat a man with a gun who stole his truck, I am white and would of done the same damn thing. His father has always worked for the police department but he grew up in the ghettos of all ghettos and did nothing but gang bang. You are uneducated ignorant assholes. The simple fact is he made mistakes in his life. He was 22 when he did. No one out there hasn't done something stupid when they were younger. He turned his life around and has done nothing but good. He was one of the best safety's if not the best in the NFL today and would of been a legend kids wanted to be like. He was taken too early. Feel for his family his kid. Who cares he wasn't married when he had a child who is these days. That is not a reason to judge a person. His family, friends and the Redskins lost an extremely talented and great person. The DC area lost someone great today and the only thing you ignorant people do is hate. This is why the world is the way it is. Remember what goes around comes around so keep running your mouth your day will come. My god be with his family in there time of need.

88. TMZ ,it is a shame that you are not monitoring your message boards. Yes this is a free country, but the fact that you are letting such vile and disrespectful comments about a person who has lost his life continue to be displayed is sickening! The fact is that we(most white people) are to quick to lable people as thugs and really have no clue as to what it means; most of the information is gained from watching movies. The truth is, thugs come in every color and every ethnicity has them( real thugs that is). Real thugs are come with college degrees, dress in three piece suits, run corporations, work blue collar jobs, teachers and priest( my point is some of the comments about him being a thug are just sterotypes). A loss of life has happened and no matter what you think about him, be respectful or keep your comments to yourself. Most of the disrespectful comments are coming from children or people who just want to incite high emotion; please pay them no attention.
The lack of respect being present on the message board is sad and I hope all of the people who made the comments realize that what goes around comes around and hopefully it will not be there son, brother, dad, nephew, husband or friend we are reading about next on TMZ or some other site.
