Ballroom Battle of the Sexes
Helio Castroneves took the crown on "Dancing With the Stars" last night, making him the fourth consecutive male champ (fifth if you count John O'Hurley's dance-off crown). TMZ TV asks ... what gives?

16. The women don't like taking instructions from men, so they lose. To bad you naughty women all except Mel, she was a delight to watch dance with Mashim, he is so sexy. If Helio and Julianna had not won then Mel and Mashim would have. Please get Donnie Osmond out of my face. He is getting on my nerves. Keep him off dancing with the stars.

18. I personally don't count John O'Hurley as the first winner because it was a dance off in which he had time to garner more fan support. Also, he should have taken his toys home and been finished because I think that it was rigged for him to win the dance off. Hats off for Kelly Monaco for even entertaining a face off. After all, none of the other season winners or runner ups have requested or been given a second chance. So Kelly is the true winner for the first season! Last night could have gone either way! They were both excellent.

19. Like someone said..
the men have it easier because notice its the woman that peeps are mostly looking at. they do all the flips and fancy complicated moves. yes. helio was good but since julianne was already a professional they have it easier. Like Marie sucked but no one ever commented on Jon and said o her partner is great.
ThATS ALL IM SAYIN YO

20. Oh Boo Hoo. Everyone is mad because a man won again.
SO WHAT? Is that all you have to worry about in your life???
I so agree with ANG. You tell um.
GO HELIO AND JULIANNE!

21. I would think that this happens because this show has a primarily female audience. An older female audience who would tend to vote for the sexy young men. I doubt the whole "girl power" thing occurs to these women. Dancing like this in its origin is a sexual conversation between partners. Older women ask them selves which conversation they would liked to have had and thus they vote for the sexy young man with the best conversation skills. Wink. Wink. Just a thought. I know. I know, there is a sexy male in each pairing, but it's basically the "celebrity", known or not, that is being voted for. Not the partners.

22. I am soooooo disappointed in the outcome, i truly believe Mel B was robbed from the title!!! This isn't the first time it happens and i am seriously annoyed by it!!

23. I enjoyed watching the show from the beginning. I feel that Mel and Sabrina should not have been on the show in the first place. They are both professional dancers, not this type of dance but they dance for a living. I was glad to see Sabrina dumped early on. Mel should have also been dropped. Its hard for someone like Marie or Jenny or Jane to keep up with a pro.

24. LET ME REMIND PEOPLE WHO FORGOT..............................
JOHN O'HURLEY DID NOT WIN, HE WAS A BIG BABY THAT CRIED FOUL, NOT LIKE A GROWN MAN. KELLY WON, AND EVER SINCE THAT, I WON'T WATCH OR RESPECT HIM.

25. Are people really still crying about John O'Hurley winning the "dance-off"? TWO years later?
Grown adults typing with bitter capslock fury over reality TV. Hilarious! Who's being the baby again?...
Not that it'll matter to the crazed fanatics (see above me) but in actual fact, ABC viewers cried foul and the ABC Network was all too happy to cash in on the hype around a "rematch".
Neither Monaco nor O'Hurley had to consent to it, but they did because viewership this time around would generate donations to charity. In a nutshell, it was an "exhibition" display orchestrated to boost ABC's ratings. Monaco wasn't stripped of her "trophy," nor was O'Hurley awarded one.
Who knew Reality TV could contribute to the elevated retardation of viewers [insert sarcasm here].

26. The women have more intricate foot-work than the men do. The men have it easier for that reason.

27. For those who are not understanding .... most of the flare and intricacy is with the women. And since the women are the professional dancers .. their dancing looks more flawless since the female is the professional.
Also, who couldn't guess that Helio's engagement would be over ... and as he annonced and his fiancee confirmed ... their relationship is over.
I can bet that he'll be out with Julliana.

28.
I thought Mel could really dance but like others said, lacked the charisma that Helio and Julianne had. Its true that maybe Helio isn't the most attractive man on tv but he has the warmest smile and I just loved watching him move!!!

29. Mel, no doubt was ROBBED. She delivered from the start…………..In losing however, she delivered as well. She didn’t get the trophy that she most deservedly earned, but she definitely performed as the total class act.
