32. John O'Hurley was not the season1 winner!! He won some dumb "dance-off" exhiiton type show for charity.
Kelly has been the most endearing of all the winners so far. She started off at the bottom of the pack and fought week after week to improve (which she did) and always kept her amazing attitude and good humour. She was a true competitor!

33. Kelly is the only female winner of dancing with the stars. John may have one the dance off but Kelly still has the trophy, I am not please with Dancing with the Stars for not giving Kelly Monaco much recognition since she was the first and only female winner.

35. Clearly, Mel B was the better competitor. She didn't have to have her professional dancer carry her throughout the routines. Helio wasn't that good and Julianne didn't do the dances with the great technicality and fervor that Mel B performed even though Julianne was the "professional dancer". Marie was not even in the league. I just truly think that a lot of non-ethnic females were jealous of Mel B. Even Maksim had a crush on Mel B (you could tell) and loved her for learning so easily. Helio won because other females were really jealous of Mel B.

36. I don't think men have it easier, ONLY because they don't have the sex appeal women have (long hair, lots of clevage, butt, legs, etc.).

It you meaning pertained to anything other than dancing, I would say hell yes, men have it easier!

Just think, no more hearing Marie and her phony carrying on -- her son's amazing, she's amazing, everything in her life is amazing, blah blah blah blah blah (yes Marie, you told everybody at least 15 times you were soon to be 50). Take your phony bro and go back to mormon territory, please!

37. I think it is harder for the women because they are compared more to the professional women dancers. Kelly Monaco did an excellent job by winning this competition because of that very reason. She was excellent!

38. The only reason the men "appear" to be doing a great job is because the women are really the ones who do most of the work. A female partner does most of the moves, most of the foot work, all of the fancy, on the hand of a man. Take it from an ex ballroomer. WOMEN make the dance. Men just twirl us, lead us, shoot us, scoop us, dip us, etc. Therefore, looking like a great dance, but not really "dancing" at all.

Hey #34, Marie should not have been in the finals.........However, some people know how to work a crowd......I am sure you know that anyone with a brain knows that you speak at the 7th grade level so that most can understand. Sorry if you weren't there yet.............oh by the way........Let's hope you can perform and look as good at 50 as she does.

40. Women are smarther than that, kids. I would have voted for a woman if she were the best. That heavy set Cheetah girl was wonderful and her partner was too cute for words Why they got voted off is a mystery. If the show was based on looks alone that young man from that Soap Opera (Cameron???)would have won. He was the most handsome man on the floor this season (possibly ever). Face it, Hielio was adorable and had such a kind face and sweet smile. Who do you expect women to vote for, Jenny Garth with her glaring snear every time she got a bad score. We hate girls like her because we all went to high school with girls like her. It's not jealousy.

IMO Only 4 male were champion the dance from the first season was so not worth it Kelly won fairly but mister John was just a sort LOOSER so he wanted a dance-off which was ridiculous 'cause there are no doovers he just looked pathetic. I must admit that i really enjoyed watching DWTS for the past 2 years but i don't think that anyone could ever forget who lame John was 'cause he came in 2nd. IMO there are 5 winners (1 woman and 4 men) and that won't change no matter what.
Kelly rocked that fist season (from the buttom "13 points"to the top "WINNER".

43. Wake up people!!!! Look, Emmit, Apolo and Helio are all athletes. The show has gotten fit male non-athletes on the show like Cameron and Drew. Compare that to the lineup of female stars. With the exception of Laila Ali, they have not gotten any bona fide female athletes. Instead, they get models, ex-beauty queens, or fluffy women who look good. Jenny, Sabrina, and Mel were not pro athletes, but they were reasonably fit and did well. Josie was "deceptively unfit" and was a joke. It's an insult to the female pros that the producers cast the show this way. Sure, dancing is elegant and sexy, but in essence it is movement, which requires athleticism and strength. The women are competitors, not props! The producers should go ahead and cast female jocks such as Michelle Kwan, Danica Patrick, a Williams sister, or some gymnasts, etc. Sure, some folks may scream that it's unfair to cast a skater or gymnast, but really, it would add so much to the show. And lord knows there is no shortage of female athletes who may be post-Olympics or whatever who are looking for a career change.

44. Certain ones have an advantage, going in. For example, Apollo Anton Ono, had all those years of close quarters speed skating, exercising his legs, going in circles, and being very young worked to give him an edge.

The younger competitors have too much going for them! This is not an even playing field, even though they put in people of experience. Experience doesn't work as well as the quick movements the young have, as well as the stamina, which gives them the advantage over the older ones..

Also, the younger ones have the fresh looks. The older ones; well, you could see the miles of false eyelashes, etc! , which just emphasizes their age!

45. Mell was much better than Helio.

People were too busy looking at Julieann and he was able to get by on that a bit too much.

Its too bad that the judges don't have a bit more of the vote.

As for Maks it has to suck to lose, when you know you have the better parnter 2 years in a row.
