Edging out favorite Mel B, race-car driver Helio Castroneves took home the disco ball trophy. Do women ever win this contest anymore?!

He and partner Julianne Hough came into the finals in second place, just one point behind the Spice Girl and his hotness Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Both couples received perfect scores of 30 from the judges in their final dance Tuesday.

As expected, Marie Osmond was eliminated first after her robot doll-inspired routine. QVC called, they'd like you back, Miss Osmond.

Looks like Hough is the lucky charm, having also won last year with speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.

61. Congrats to Helio, he deserved to win. He worked hard, and all that hard work payed off.

Mel was a very good dancer. JMHO but some times she only got to pratice 2 hours all week and it showed.

62. Congatulations he really tried as hard as the rest of them but, I am glad he won. Place your trophy in your cabinet it was well earned. They all were good, but ,like every game there has to be one winner.

63. he deserved it because he was not ever a dancer mel b had experience its all about who becomes a dancer he has a great personality very humble and deserved the win
mel nb and max are pompous which is why i didnt vote for them

64. Mel B and Helio's dancing were both very good. I honestly can't say one was better than the other. That being said I am happy he won being that he doesn't come from a dancing and/or performing background like Mel B does. I am just personally less impressed by the people like Sabrina or Mario Lopez or anyone else that does well on the show but has been a dancer (not ballroom) before.

67. CONGRATULATIONS TO HELIO AND JULIANNE! My family has always voted for Julianne and no one else. What a encouraging and positive role model this beautiful, talented young lady is to thousands of little girls who put on their ballet slippers, tap shoes, tutu's and leotards every day to go to dancing class. Thank you Julianne for your dedication and hard work. We need more role models like you. Any aspiring dancer would be extremely lucky to have you as their dance teacher. CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm just so glad we don't have to listen to Marie Osmond talk about how old she is and her Brothers and that she is one of the worlds top Doll makers etc etc..She really should have been gone from that show long before some of the others.I think there needs to be a different voteing process for Dancing With the Stars..

69. Contestants come on the show with varying degrees of dancing ability. In seasons past, it was obvious from the very first show that Joey Fatone and Mario Lopez, and this year Cheetos Girl and Scary Spice were already dancers from day one. Viewers, I being one, looked at these contestants as not deserving of even being on the show in the first place. The week that Cheetos Girl was eliminated, her background video showed her having to interrupt her "professional dancing" to practice her "amateur dancing." Huh? I guess the viewers finally caught on that she was only there to promote Disney's new Cheetah Girls movie on Disney's top-rated television show.

I watch the show to follow the people who really can't dance improve week to week. This year that was Helio - after all, he's a Brazilian who couldn't even do a Samba!

71. Hurray for Helio and Julianne.. What entertainment they brought to TV..This type of entertainment is so welcome in comparison to programs about people looking for LOVE re: New York and Telia-what a joke!!!

It was nice no ones' foul language had to bleeped out and no one was "swapping spit" with multiple partners!!!

It is time for TV to be censored and get some of the crap kids' have access to off the tube!!

How about a reality show revealing the numbers of people with sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregancy rates.. TV contributes to the epidemic by glamourizing trashy behavior...

And yes I am a Baby Boomer so you may say I am prude!! So what?? I like to think I have some values and principles..
