Celebrity Feuds
Julia Roberts -- America's Pissed-Off Sweetheart

Usually it's the paps who hunt celebs, but yesterday, Julia Roberts was on the chase in L.A., driving on the wrong side of the road as she went after a photog!

Once they stopped, an irate Julia got out of her car and gave the pap the George Clooney treatment, scolding him for trying to snap pics of her children. Roberts demanded that the photog turn his camera off -- and he nervously obliged.

77. I bet those ex-wives of those husbands you stole, probably would concur they wished YOU would of stayed out of their private lives

However that surely didn't stop ya, huh? You've gone through pretty much of your life wrecking other peoples relationships and leaving a path of devastation...for other women, not to mention CHILDREN. And you've always seemed to come out unscathed. Sure would like to talk to Vera (Danny's EX ) or Camelia Kath, (Keifer Sutherlands EX) to see what they have to say about you.....and yet for years the media courted you as some princess, "America's Sweetheart" they called you.

Are ya feeling a bit of Karma, biotch? The media hasn't been very kind to you lately...have they? Well after this little stunt you've pulled WATCH out, they are going to be on you like white on rice, not to mention everytime you break a law, they are going to be right in your face, taping it.

79. This makes me very angry and I am asking Southern California residents to email or write their mayors, council representatives, and legislators asking for some type of law to stop this invasive behavior. An example of a letter to send is shown below.

For where to send, see: http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/ or search google.

If you don't live in California, please copy and send to a friend or family member who does, or just send from the state you reside in, as I have. Enough is enough. I don't want to read about a death because of the out-of-control behavior of the gossip news media.

*********
Example:
*********

To Whom It May Concern:

Please move quickly and steadfastly forward to curtail the current actions of some gossip and media photographers and videographers. If you do not know what I mean, please view the antics of the paparazzi. Examples are searchable from google.com.

Paparazzi is the plural term for photographers who take candid photographs of celebrities, usually by relentlessly shadowing them in their public and private activities.

This letter concerns celebrities’ private activities.

I am asking you to please create and enforce laws that would force the paparazzi to back away from celebrities when they are conducting private business and going about the daily activities of their personal lives, especially when it comes to their children. This type of photographer or videographer needs to stop taking pictures of minors (children under 16) who are not professional celebrities and those who can not give their legal consent.

I question daily: Why do not the California police and legislature stop this type of action? Why, when occurring, police do not tell the paparazzi to sit, hands over head, gather ID's, and start arresting and confiscating their cameras when they consistently interfere with the freedom and daily lives of U.S. citizens? Freedom such as the right to walk safely from a car to a store, to drive in a car without being followed and harassed, or pick up children at school.

I’m angry and the California police and law makers better wake up before a paparazzi-caused death occurs. There have been several accidents caused by such behavior.

This is a free country, but when the so called rights of one, step on the rights of others, then it's time to stop.

Examples to consider when creating laws against invasive paparazzi: Demanding that the paparazzi can not and will not be within 50 feet, or block the right of a person to walk, or set up barriers to create photographic opportunities, or verbally harass and follow, or any other action that may interfere with the personal freedom of another. High fines should be imposed when the infractions occur, since the cause of this type of abusive behavior is money based. Photographic or recording equipment used during such actions should be confiscated and kept for evidence.

One can be an actress or actor or a sculptor, teacher, janitor, nurse, electronics tech, or cobbler and still maintain your right to walk down a city street (or in a parking lot, isle of a food store, etc.) and not be harassed, or followed, or have another's actions jeopardize safety and personal freedom.

Thank you.

87. Julie is mean and takes and takes ! I bet she staged this one. Or maybe they thought it was Matthew Perry ex. lol

88. Being a celebrity doesn't mean the public owns them. When they are on the red carpet, they are at work. When they are not working, they have a right to their privacy like anyone else and shouldn't have to tolerate being stalked and chased by crazy photographers.

89. Julia shouldn't be driving on the wrong side of the road chasing down a car to make a point. She could have injured an innocent person driving along (on the correct side of the road not feeling they're above the law) who does more with their life than memorize lines. Julia, you signed up for this life, deal with it.
