Avril Lavigne -- The New Britney?

Last year at this time, it was Britney who was enjoying some panty-free nights with Paris Hilton ... now it's Avril?


TMZ caught the wannabe punk last night at Hyde, Goa and Villa, where she exclaimed, "I have no underwear on!" and then we spotted her later -- chatting with Paris in the back of an SUV.

Avril at least kept what little dignity she has -- by not actually flashing the goods.

77. I hope not. One britney is enough. I have the love and faith in Avril Lavigne. I still love haer despite the fact that she's married. I love her hair. It's pretty sexy. I say, Avril Lavigne wii never be a Britney Spears. She is way to smart. I believe in her.

80. Avril did not exactly say she had no underwear on to anyone in particular. It's not like she was being interviewed. She could have been talking about someone saying that or she just said it to get attention
