Denise Richards' Mom Dies of Cancer

Denise RichardsAfter a long battle with kidney cancer, Denise Richards' mom, Joni, died this week.

Reps for the "Wild Things" star confirmed the sad news to OK! magazine. According to the mag, Richards, along with her young daughters and father, held a two-week hospital bedside vigil during Joni's final days.

Denise has endured a tumultuous family life, having been involved in a contentious custody battle with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, ever since they divorced last year.

Death
Life is something we should appreciate and adore
because there comes a time in life our services are not needed
anymore.

A time in life when we are the next step closer
and if you have done what He asked, the struggle is over.

A time when one passes from this world to another--
a time when we lose a family member, friend or lover.

This has been happening long before our existence,
but some think it's a joke until they are convinced.

A time in life that we rejoice and have sorrow, so we
must change our wicked ways,
because that time can come tomorrow.

To have on pass away can leave you emotionally scarred,
but you must maintain your composure and keep your faith in God.

So we must stop the hate and seek forgiveness for our sins,
because whether you know it or not,
death is what we must face in the end.

51. Hey say what you want about her - I think we should all say a prayer for her - its a terrible terrible thing to go through. Maybe we should ALL be a little more thankful for our blessings and be a little NICER to each other.

53. Yes its sad when you lose your mother,maybe she will realise how precious life is and resolve the ugly custody battle with her ex and just enjoy her life instead of wasting precious time fighting in court.You never know when your time is up.
