31. I absolutely love Taylor Hicks. Season 5 was the best because he brought all his raw talent and great looks and performed better than any idol has ever performed THAT IS WHY HE WON!! I don't understand WHY YOU DON'T GET THAT! The following year fell flat because the year before was too exciting and they couldn't capture it again. I hope this year is better as I feel sorry for last years group because they followed the best group ever. Taylor had the country by the throat and we were mesmerized with him and still are. Taylor is the best. I like Chris, Elliot and Bucky but they don't have the magic of Taylor

32. love Taylor & have seen him 1 time concert & the other at his Birmingham Book thing in July.I Plan to see him more, His night club will be opening in Birmingham sometime between the end of 08 & beginning of 09.Me & friends are going. That was by far the best Idol season with the most diverse and interesting talent.
You can tell by the amount of passionate hostility from some people. ( Get the F over whatever you're still whining about and rustle up a life).

34. This is VERY old news. These photos were taken during the Idol tour during an after-show that Taylor did with LiMBO. I remember the photos very well, and Elliott has since had his teeth fixed, and let his hair grow out. His teeth are still crooked in the photos. If you're going to publish photos, how's about some new ones? That would be really nice- we're reaching for any little tidbit here while he's on hiatus.

37. So you've got a baggie of drugs on you. You're ( proper spelling and usage, try to remember it) given a chance to just settle down and leave. 38. My good friend's family has known the Hicks family since he was born. He has visited them many times before the Idol contest and always with his mother and poor step father in tow. I have met Taylor a number of times ( but not since Idol) when he has come out here for visits. He has always been the nicest guy and a very humble and friendly man. I did not become close to him but talked to him a number of times. His mother though, well she is one of the craziest nutjobs I have ever met! She is an alcoholic, drug seeking, angry, vicious, money seeking, and most horrible people I have ever met. She treats her current husband like HELL and constantly berates this nice gentleman with every opportunity. She was drunk the entire time she was staying with my friends and did things like trying to somewhat openly pick on the single men in the group, including myself. I am talking not about mere flirting, I am talking about her saying she would do specific acts and she tried to grab my crotch many, many times. She constantly asked around for whatever drugs she thought she could get and this is not the right crowd to do this around. I had a major knock down drag out verbal argument with her after I tried tell her to get lost and just leave me alone. Then the whole family on her last trip got involved and everything went to crap. After the dust cleared from this fracas, she was basically never welcomed back to their house- at least until she gets help. She was such a horrible person and acted this way on the the 4 or so times I met her at my friend's house. She is a NASTY, ANGRY person!!! When Idol happened, she became so bad that she was banned by the network from seeing the final couple of show, despite her son being a front runner. She was BANNED from the property. That is why she was never filmed in the audience! I am serious as a heart attack! Since then, I have heard that Taylor tried to patch things up, but she is so far gone that he has pretty much removed her from his life. Like I said, Taylor was a very nice guy and I never saw anything the least bit negative about him. He was soft spoken and a very good person! The image of him being nice is how he really is. Sure, he is not responsible for his mom's actions and tried to do everything to help her, but she is so horrible that I have little hope for her. To this day, I hope I never cross paths with his mom and so do my friends. There was simple nothing redeeming about her that any of us could ever put up with. Good for Taylor though! I may not be a fan of his music, but he is a hello of a nice guy-despite his horrible mother! I just had such a bad run in with his mother and it did put a quick and minor strain on my friendship with these people, but everything was fine after she left. It is because of this strong dislike that I write this about her! It is 100% TRUE!!!!

41. Taylor's mother was in the audience for his You Send Me performance and she was shown on his AI homecoming performances. In fact there is video where Taylor hugs her. What Taylor's mother does is her own business because she is not a celebrity.

43. You stated that Taylor's mother wasn't ever filmed on AI and I simply stated that you were wrong about that. What Taylor's mother does is her own business. She will have to deal with it but she is not a celebrity therefore it's none of our business.

44. Yeah, well I had dealt with her nasty ass on several occasions and I still dislike her to the core! I am venting because this caused major problems for me and I avoided even being in the same room with her. She also treated her new husband so badly that it was beyond my comprehension! He is a bit nerdy and was aware of much of what happened because she was so blatant around him with her actions! I actually spent a good deal of time talking to him at various times and he just didn't deserve that sort of treatment. The good thing is that no matter where you come from and what hell you go through with your family, you can still do good with your life as Taylor has done. From what I have heard about Taylor, he is smart enough to understand how things work and was just incredible grateful for the recognition. whatever he ends up earning from all this will be appreciated by him. He has never shown a star attitude that I have seen and I hope he does well from this. From what my friends said, he was every bit the starving artist who loves his art and gift. Good for him!!! He's overcome much in his life, including a horrible drunk mother! If she cleaned up, which I strongly doubt, then maybe she has a chance of some sort of peace, but after the problems she brought PERSONALLY to me and my friends, I am not likely to ever forgive her!!!

45. Here's a bit more detail about the last time I saw his mother. This all happened around two weeks before the finals of Idol. Taylor's parent's came out to stay with my friends, who I am Very Close with and consider family, in Az before going to the finals in California. As I said, they were very close to Taylor as they had grown up with him around. All hell broke loose before before they left to go the the finals and caused a major problem with all involved. She actually ended up going to Cali earlier because things had become so bad. just before the first taping, his mom had some sort of major meltdown with the studio and was completely drunk and raising a major crapstorm in the studio that was enough to have her barred from the lot. My friends never told me exactly what happened and I never felt the need to ask. When they showed the shots of the group of Taylor's family, you WILL NOT SEE HIS MOTHER! Instead, you will see a man and woman in their 60s. The man has grayish white hair without a part in it and it is very short and kind of dips downward in the middle in the front. His wife was wearing a wig, but is still a striking lady with green eyes. They were clearly shown repeatedly in the show in his family area. These are my friends. If you have a tape of the final, you will clearly see them. I guarantee you that you will NOT SEE Taylor's mom in the finals as she was not even allowed on the lot! You would think that as this was the single most important moment in his life that his mother would be there. Well she wasn't and this is the reason why! I do not have a tape of this, but I did watch the final show.
