Former "Knots Landing" star Joan Van Ark is living proof that you should never schedule a chemical peel moments before a red carpet event!
The 64-year-old, with tattoo-ish Liza brows and Sharpie eyeliner, was out at a theater event in L.A. on Saturday.
Her new look is in stark contrast to her CBS publicity photo (inset) from a few years ago. Damn!

20. Oh dear LORD. The bruising around her mouth makes her look like a man trying to cover up 5 o'clock shadow. And why would she wear no lipstick/gloss?
There are times when you look in the mirror and decide to skip an event; this should have been one of them for her.
We've all heard of "fighting the hot", I think we need to come up with something like "fighting the old" for the Joan Rivers/Jocelyn Wildenstein-esque death masks. There's something to be said for aging gracefully.
