79. It looks like she has had a Obagi Blue Peel when you get the chemical peel done it makes you look like a smurf it gets really blue on the areas that your face are in need of some help. They do wipe if off after but there are some blue areas for at least a week. Then you just start peeling like crazy.

80. Anyone who would put themselves through a chemical peel to hide the ravages of aging would hardly leave home and take a chance at being photographed. This does appear to be a guy - hair looks wiggy, looks like heavy makeup, bad joke on someone but wrong to be portrayed as Joan to us...

88. Joan Van Ark was actually quite the beauty in the late 1970s and then very attractive in the 1980s.

She and the rest of the cast of mainly middle-aged men and women on "Knots Landing" -

Alex Baldwin, Michelle Phillips, Lisa Hartman, Michael York, Nicolette Sheridan, Constance McCashin, William Devane, Julie Harris, Kevin Dobson, Michele Lee, Constance McCashin and Donna Mills were fantastic actors.

The show had more seasons (although less episodes than "Dallas") and ran for 14 years. It outlasted trash like Dallas, Dynasty, Falcon Crest, and the Colbys, and beat the two critics' darlings in ratings and seasons renewals -"Hill Street Blues," and LA Law."

It was the underdog of American television and the critics finally came around. Joan Van Ark was a fantastic actress. The 1980s were flashy and trashy when it came to pop culture (think Madonna, Michael Jackson, hip-hop music, Whitney Houston, Micahel Douglas, Arnold Schwarsenegger, Julia Roberts et al), and real talent often went unacclaimed, even if that talent was popular with th average Joe.

So Joan Van Ark, like many Hollywood actors has gone overboard with the cosmetic surgery.

Maybe its because there are so few roles for women over 35 nowadays other than female district attorneys or frantic single parents of stalked children on Lifetime Network.

Give her a break.

And Joan, please give your face a break.
