The Spice Girls Return -- And Actually Sing!

The Spice Girls performed the first concert of their reunion tour last night -- and rocked it -- as well as a group of 30-something moms can!

The golden girls opened their Vancouver show with "Spice Up Your Life," doing some cheesy choreography -- but actually singing LIVE -- a shocker, since the girls took criticism after lip syncing at a recent Victoria's Secret fashion show.

19. Okay, come on guys! If we let Stephen Tyler, Mick Jagger and Sting - all old enough to be the fathers of THESE WOMEN - continue to perform, I don't see any reason these girls can't go out and make a buck. What the hell else are they going to do? Work at McDonalds.

22. They may be entertainers, and they may not be the most talented people in show business, but people pay to see Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and even the Backstreet Boys still... because it is entertaining. I loveddddd them growing up... and i still love them now. They are doing what they love to do, and just because all you old bags who sit at home drinking while your husbands are shagging the younger species, is no reason to hate. Those women put on an amazing show, and thats exactly what it was.... A SHOW!!!
If no one wanted to see them, the place would not have been sold out, and they would have never added any shows to the original tour.

Congrats to all the Spice Girls on an amazing tour, and the best of luck in the New Year.

24. Let's see... I'm not poor, I live in a pretty big house (hubby and I both make good $$). We're both young (early 30's) and attractive and I keep my guy happy so he doesn't need to stray... And yet we BOTH think the Spice Grannies SUCK and wouldn't sit through a performance if you held a gun to our heads. I guess we just have good taste. We're more refined than the 12-year-olds who would actually pay to see these lame british fools "perform". They can't sing and they can't dance. It's humiliating to watch. And Posh looks RIDICULOUS. The only thing worse than some retard wearing a gold outfit circa 1990 is an ANOREXIC retard wearing it. And that black spice hag looks like a tranny at a costume party.

25. Whether you like them or not, they're still a force to be reckoned with on the global music scene. I know a bunch of groups in the UK that do have better vocal talent but can't break onto the global stage for some reason.
Obviously, their appeal is not as relevant as it is now... but really, they're consummate entertainers. If it's not your cup of tea, then just don't listen to their music and watch their video clips. Wouldn't it be a better use of your time to listen to music that you actually like?
