Ellen Scores Interview with Bush

The President is a busy man, what with trying to run the country and all, but Ellen DeGeneres found a way to get him on the phone -- by using his daughter!

Jenna Bush is a guest today on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and by the end of the interview, Ellen had talked to the First Daughter, First Lady and the Commander-in-Chief himself, with George admitting he was "glad to talk" to her.

Isn't that guy too busy to talk on the phone ...?

121. Kitten I agree with you completely. Obama is advocating suplementing the social security deficit by adding an additional 12% tax to anyone making over $96,000 per year. Thats an extra $11,000 straight off the top. But somehow I bet, Oprah won't have to..........................Her contribution alone would be approx $33 million per year. Doubt she's that interested in helping social security in this country.

122. Being the President is a 24/7 job. At times a completely thankless one. It is a job that no one has done so perfectly that everyone agrees with 100% of the time. The President has to make unpopular decisions and live with the consequences. At the Same time he and his wife have raised children. If anyone really thinks its fun to be a teenager in the White House you need to get a clue. These girls must feel so entitled to have to live with 24 hour secret service agents guarding there every move. It must so wonderful to here your name slandered and your every move scrutinized by the press.
It is great to see that they care for each other. It is great that he picks up the phone to speak with his daughter (Since he is on call 24 hours aday, whenever she calls he is on duty)
And idiot comments like "Isn't that guy to busy to talk on the phone.......?" are simply inserted to sensationalize this story. He has a full staff who are working continuously as well.
Try to see the human side sometimes.

125. Ellen, you are a complete hypocrite. This man has done more to set back gay rights than anyone else and you are sucking up to him on your show. Where is the ground-breaking Ellen that did came out in 1993? This was truly nauseating.

127. Republicans are not anti Gay. This county’s laws of the constitution were based on religious beliefs, and the Republican philosophies are based on these laws; which is why they are considered conservative. The Democrats one the other hand has changed a lot of the laws for the good of this country; however, I feel the Democrats made too many unnecessary changes. Taking “God” out of everything was the biggest mistake the Democrats made. They infringed on the rights of most of the people in this country (Freedom of Religion). That’s why there is so much disarray in the schools of this country.

Yes, President Bush made mistakes, but no more than any other president. 9-11 most likely would have never occurred if the Clinton administration had nipped in the bud when the W Trade was bombed the first time!! I don’t feel safe when the Democrats are in charge. You people forget!!!

128. What happened to the hysterical tears over the dog? All gone???This woman is pathetic. She used Jenna Bush for her own purposes (I'm sure she's never used a young girl for her own purposes). Guess Jenna Bush learned something. Youth is filled with lessons - don't be manipulated by someone like this. She should have asked the President & Mrs Bush how THIER dog was. The one they keep and don't throw out after the fulfilling feeling of rescue is over. I can't believe how many people watch her show. But then I can't believe how many people are on the Oprah bandwagon. Guess the Lowest Common Denominator always wins. Retards on retarded programs - oh, they're called "stars". Forgot.

130. But this man who just talked to his daughter, is the President who lied his nation into an unneccessary war with Iraq that has taken the lives of several thousand of our young military men and women. Oh, by the way tens of thousands of our military men and women, those who are fortunate to be still alive, have been injured and maimed because of this father's lies. Just a few things Sandi forgot to mention in her post.
