16. Yeah, it seems less like Family Guy stole "funny" material from some broke ass comedian, and more like Family Guy is making fun of an unfunny sketch from some broke ass comedian. It's all parody. Now had the Pharisee's been laughing it up like a bunch of drunken morons, he might have a case.

17. they parody everyone in family guy but i think unless his act his copyrighted, he will have a hard time winning this case.

18. It's supposed to be 'identical in music, sound, and action', it's called a PARODY and it's what Family Guy does. If everyone were looking for a handout like this guy, this show wouldn't have any of those out-of-context references. In other words, it wouldn't exist!

19. Almost everything family guy DOES are parodies! Way to point out the obvious Mr. Metrano.

20. Family Guy "steals" everything from pop culture, that's nothing new.
What's "new" to me is that DVD came out like 4 years ago and this guy is getting around to suing now? If anyone should be insulted by that DVD is Britney Spears. Did you see their spoof of her in the future as a fat, diabetic cripple trying to make a comeback? They bit her right on the head...that is CLASSIC!

22. It's not a parody..it is a direct steal..of what was,at the time,a totally origional act. Very talented guy, with a very difficult life..He deserves some compensation..Creative people should be creative..not steal from other creative people.

23. I bet Stewie would like to do some finger magic in Art Metrano's anus.

24. Ok, everybody STOP talking, breathing, walking and everything else you do everyday of your life. Because GUESS WHAT somebody else has already done it!!! It's Family Guy; get over yourself. It's what they do. Anyways, who trademarked the sound daa...?? You know how many babies utter that sound every single day!!!

25. Nine times out of ten a performer will simply give permission to do a parody of their act. Why? Because it calls attention to it, and it's also quite flattering.

Had the good people over at FAMILY GUY gotten Metrano's permission, none of this would ever have taken place.

It's simply a matter of courtesy.

27. Parody it is and now the REAL guy can bill himself "as seen in Family Guy the movie", why money why not just credit?

28. It would help if you people would stop repeating yourselves, this isnt the only time you all do it. i see it daily. GET PAID!

29. theyre probably making fun of that guy for being stupid.

30. The Jesus bit is not stealing. It's a Fair Use satirical nod to Art Metrano. That's a big part of the humor -- the reference recognition by the hip. If it went on for minutes, it would be stealing. Metrano is hilarious, though, with his full, memorable routine. We used to hum and mimic his act in high school in the late '60s. Unfortunately, he couldn't sustain a brilliant start and faded from high TV visibility decades ago. This is obviously a money ploy via harassment to Fox and a cry for attention. This will go the way of Carol Burnett's suit vs. Family Guy: Nowhere.
