47. Wendy, you're an idiot. go do some research. a pitbull is no more aggressive than a poodle. If you train a dog to be vicious and violent, torture it, pit it in a fight for its life against another dog, of course it's going to fight. And to everyone who's all, "oh, it's so sad, he's lost his career and dignity" He had to make a concious decision when he started that dog fight. He knew the consequences, and made his choice. I don't feel bad for him at all, he was blessed from god with an opportunity that other young men out there would love to have. young men who I'm sure are just as talented, if not more. So yea, 23 months is a good punishment, if not more. And to everyone who's making comparisons in the white/black aspect, you all are idiots. just because it's a "cultural" thing does not make it acceptable. Some asian cultures eat dogs, but if they were to do it over here, it would still be illigal. I'm hispanic, just because of my cultural background, that doesn't mean I go out and fight cocks together. why? because whether or not you agree to it being wrong, IT IS ILLEGAL, meaning you can go to jail, because you are breaking the law. Don't like it? then go do something about it in the real world.

48. I don't think the sentence was fair at all. He should have received a lot more time than 23 months. That is just a slap on the wrist for him. I hope that the NFL chooses not to let him play anymore. I doubt any team would want him after this anyway. I guess that is some justice. I am anxious to see what the state does. He could get 5 years per dog from them.

50. I think that this whole thing was blown into something that it was really not. I work in the legal field and I know for a fact that people tell only half of the story to make a case look good in the public eye. Its a shame that some of the same people were michael vick fans when he was running on a football field, have turned their backs on him. And the same people were some of the ones who begged for him to make donations to their charities and speak at their functions but when he needed their support they all turned away. This society is going to hell in a handbasket. Its a shame when we treat animals with more respect and love than we do humans. I guarantee you that Mr. Vick will bounce back and have a successful career again. I wish him the best of luck but i encourage him to choose his friends wisely. When he returns to the NFL be weary of so called friends and relatives who are only out to destroy you because they have no real future themselves.

I would like to say that , despite the sentenc not being long enough............................I will celebrate this day.Michael Vick..........23 months in a cage,,,...a six foot cement view, with a toilet in the corner...................please do not start barking Vick...I consider dogs superior to you. You will be lucky .you wont face hanging or elecrocution.as the poor dogs did...............but I cannot speak for beatings, body slamming, or other "acts".........& if they occur....I really do not have any sympathy for you. As well, nice to know that you have alredy been forced by the judicial system, to put oe million dollars into an account, which will cover the care of his forty eight remaining dogs...as long as they live. They are under Gaurdianship. Nice to know that 20 million dollars has been sanctioned by the court.........to be returned to the Atlanta Falcons. Furthermore..............lawsuits have been filed against Vick by one canadian & two U>S> banks...for an amount totalling six million dollars........no doubt with interest.......for failure to pay on two loans.........& a line of credit................Nice to know that he has been forced to sell two of his homes........that the creditors are circleing like vultures.to obtain what he owes them..nice to know that his sponsors have dropped him like the Plague. Just how does it feel Vick, to have some talent fortune adulation & Respect....................& lose it all because you are a cruel & sadistic greedy egocentric, narcississtic little "man"............I have no mercy for you...........I never shall have. 59. Vick got off with little punishment, The torture he put those dogs through was unbearable.
Just hopefully he can never own any animal or be around animals.
To see him use the bad enviorment excuse to why hes so violent is totally lame. Anyone defending Vick with the quote " hes done his time" is pathetic. Vicks attonement is worthless. Every time you feel the need to have any sympathy for Vick - think of Vick hitting and hanging the dogs and maybe that will snap you back in reality. 60. Stupid judge cost me 10 bucks. I bet a friend he would get 2 years and he gets 23 months? He needs to start a fight in the can and get 30 more days. I want my money. Anyway, I don't care about this guy. Just another idiot pissing away a huge career doing something realy stupid. I can't believe there are people on here defending him. Lets not forget that the dogs that did not perform wel we drown, electrocuted, shot, stabbed, and buried alive, and he participated in it all. Not just a spectator.
