136. i am a vegetarian and anti-fur. i dont see any reason why animals should be killed for clothing..there realy is no need for it anymore. whether you agree with PETA or not how can u agree with the slaughtering of animals for fashion? somehow animals lives mean nothing to people.. i dont force my beliefs on people..i just dont understand it and when people criticize me for not eating meat that is when i pose an argument. eating meat also isnt a necessity but wearing fur is just excess. nobody..human..or animal should have to be killed just to be stretched and made into a hat or coat or whatever..it takes 60+ foxes to make one coat..how is that acceptable?

137. get out of sunny california and come experience bone chilling winter elsewhere. you will find out real quick that animal fur and wool keep you warmer than anything. and what a sophomoric thing for PETA to do... trashley and hairy kate?

when you die, your body goes into the soil and insects and plants feed off of you. then animals come by and eat those plants that were nourished by your body. it's the circle of life. deal with it.

141. it's also funny that Marybeth Sweetland (senior vp of Peta) is a type II diabetic and has to use insulin (AN ANIMAL BIPRODUCT) every day...i keep writing this comment and it keeps being deleted. let the truth out! yes, she uses insulin...and she says she doesnt think she's wrong by doing so after all, she needs her life to fight for the animals' lives.. Also this is America not some Dictatorship in which Peta tells me what I can and cannot do, eat or say. It is the issue of choice, if you choose to eat meat ,or wear fur ,or not eat meat or not wear fur IT IS YOUR PERSONAL RIGHT TO MAKE THAT CHOICE . NOT PETA'S. For an organization that has a kill ratio like theirs and who's members were caught dumping dead animal bodys into supermarket dumpsters they should be working on those problems first, as far as I'm concerned peta is no better than the slaughter houses.

146. Wow, so much ignorance in all parts. PETA, well what can i say about them, they are extremists, they have an agenda and they will do whatever they can to push that agenda. They will use shock tactics, like scenes of brutality and rarely used tactics. People will run to defend PETA saying "if you have ever seen how they treat the animals you would never wear fur." and so on and so forth. Well i read someone saying they starve the animal to promote loose skin, loose skin and a starved animal equals a mangy poor quality coat, and the leather is more likely to tear. so not true, fur farms do no promote starved animals, simply because it is bad for business.

Now i have no problem with people who support animals rights, but i do have a problem when you tell me I'm a devil for my choices. I believe in this thing called evolution and a food pyramid. I'm on the top, and I have one stomach, and k-9's devoloped for tearing into flesh and mucle tissue, so i think that tells me i'm meant to eat meat. I've hunted, and i've skinned my kills, I've also tanned the leather, made hats and other various clothing from the animal. So I'm sure you hate me for that, and you have that right, just like i have the right to lawfully hunt, and use the animal as I see fit afterwards.

ohh and food for thought, I always hear that we need to treat animals "humanely" lets consider this the root of the word is "human" not animal. Also look at nature, it's not pretty, it's not human.

149. Geez PETA needs to give it a rest. You shouldnt make fun or people, put them down or get mad when they dont follow what you believe. To me if they were being that pushy it would make me want to go out a get a fur just despite them and take a pic and send it to them. Someone needs to get a life.. and the name is PETA geez arent there more important things to do. That is why I would never support such a overly pushy group. Like children that dont get there way. get over it you !
