46. 2 guys are dead over as stolen car, great job by the cops.
I read one imbecile on here that said the police had the siren on and were "following" the stolen car but not chasing it. Did your parents have any children that lived.
It's a car, it will be recovered OR not. Hardly worth the lives of the two dead people.

47. The police did terminate the chase. The suspects kept speeding and then crashed. The police were not in pursuit of the suspects when the car crashed into the other car. Get your facts strait folks.

48. Change the headline TMZ, its a bit misleading. Granted it catches the attention and all but it makes it seem as though HE was the one in a police chase and not the way that the story actually explains. It's a bit sensationalist and irresponsible...morons- you guys show nonstop Britney bullcrap and then when something of relevance shows up you misrepresent it. Ugh.

Oh my and so do you think she goes after prostitution (only if they dont work her store) or pervs or druggies? no way since they are all tied to sex industry!!! How in the world did this piece of work get to be police commissioner.?!!!! I dont care about the trans gender thing but owning porn stores- that is total conflict of interest if your job is police commish!

50. Like the previous witness stated, "There was no police chase!"

As for the police critics, who as typical liberals, shoot from the hip and typically lead people away from the truth take note; You've made fools out of yourselves once again! You assume, rationalize, and intellectualize the cause and affect of most every violent situation and find it stylish to blame the good guy. How brittle you must feel when confronted with the facts.

As for REAL police chases: The penalty for running from the cops should be so severe that idiots who do it don't even give it a thought. Then again, maybe they're not capable of thought.

51. Posting Number 11 - does the last name of the driver involved in this tragedy sound mexican to you??? 'Gosnell'.... HELLO... People stop making it sound racist... Look at your background... Irish, Italians, Germans or good old English... This is a tragedy regardless!

52. As a long time friend (we went to High School together) of Kristopher's mom, I am shocked at the ingnorant, bigoted and racist comments that I've seen here. It's not the cop's fault, all they did was hit the lights. The "chase" didn't even last two blocks. No, the suspects were not "llegal Mexicans running red lights like they are late for a free taco party." They were career criminals driving a stolen car. What kind of an ignorant S.O.B. would say something like that? In any case, is that how you would portray Kristopher’s uncle, Hispanic actor, Benjamin Bratt? This is nothing more than a tragedy for all concerned, and it certainly has nothing to do with politics, liberal or otherwise. Jeez…

53. What a sad thing for the family and friends of these 2 young men. Why is it that some people always blame the police in cases like this? I'd like to know who you plan to call if, heaven forbid, you ever find yourselves faced with an emergency situation! Am I a bit biased? Of course I am -- my son is a police officer.

56. It is always the jerks that live and the unfortunate souls that die during these police chases. Again, why in Gods name is it necessary for the police to screech through streets to catch a jackass that is in a stolen car? Is it really necessary? And every time something like this happens, the jackass that caused the collision walks upright out of their car asking "what's the problem" while the poor person or persons that were going about their business get caught up in the worse way. Why go through a trial with these two idiots? Save San Francisco the money and just lock them up today, guilty of murder, not manslaughter, but MURDER!

57. OK - SO YOUR CAR GET'S STOLEN, COPS SEE SOMEONE DRIVING AROUND IN IT BUT TELL YOU - DIDN'T GO AFTER IT BECAUSE THEY WERE GOING TO LEAD US INTO A PURSUIT & MIGHT KILL SOMEONE. YOUR LOSS, TOUGH LUCK.

SO WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN THEN? MORE CARS ARE GONNA GET STOLEN! SO THEN THEY CAN MAKE IT OK TO STEAL VEHICLES.

58. rest inpeace" it is sad. do the police really have to give chase? why dont they just close off streets, they have radios, to let their postions known. it a shamethat innocent people must die in this fashion" they the police have to change the way they pursue stolen cars.
