122. Very sad. Another reason to get that Britney idiot off the streets before she causes something like this.

123. I think police chases should be outlawed, or changed, or something, or something or something, cause they are so dangerous to everyone, especially innocent people. Legislation needs to be enacted. People need to be able to change things.

124. My prayers go out to the Bratt family. My mother was also killed as a result of a police chase. A stolen car was not worth the lives of those boys. But, try to tell that to the police officer that was chasing the stolen car. I think they get a thrill out of getting to go as fast as they(the police)can and know that they are not responsible for the results of their actions.

126. That is awful:(
i also agree that police should not be chasing stolen or fleeing vehicles. There is nothing to gain by it. It is against the law to speed in that way , same law should apply to the officers as they are putting innocent passengers at risk. Sad. now a family has to bury thier son before christmas . my heart goes out to them

127. ..FIBiker...for all its worth...I agree...Police Officers don't need to chase...I don't know anything abt this case..but Police Chases SHOULD be FORBIDDEN!!!!...they have cause thousands of deaths!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( over time and around the world)...

128. Yeah, when a cop starts up lights and sirens that says to get right in front of them so you get hit NO! You pull over so the cops can get them, that is the point of lights and sirens so people pull out of the way. Where I live ANY Felony charge is legal to chase.

And why should a relative of a star get higher charges placed against the defendant? Double standard

129. Yeah, RAT, you got it right. Benjamin Bratt's nephew is dead because the Police Commissioner is transsexual. I mean, what could make more sense? You could just draw a line on a blackboard, from Transsexuality ----------> Stolen Cars + Hit and Run. In fact, why don't we start doing that in all the schools of our nation? These are the things that kids need to KNOW.

Oh wait, what about Vietnam Vet = someone who fought for freedom and should always be respected? Theresa Sparks also served in Vietnam. Dilemma! I hate when people won't stay squished in boxes with labels on the top!!

130. Oh yeah blame the police, they are the criminals here. I am so sick of people blameing everyone but who is at fault. It may should have been handled better but its their fault. COME ON PEOPLE.

131. I can't believe the racist comments here...

132. I also blame the police, no need to chase a stolen car. A senseless waste of life. My deepest condolence to the Bratt's

Posted at 11:05PM on Dec 12th 2007 by Peet

133. Not the cops fault, as someone else suggested it was. The people who stole the car are to blame, they are the criminals. If it were your car stolen you would want the police to get the car and the criminals who stole it. People need to start taking responsibility for their actions instead of blaming the rest of the world.

Condolences to the Bratt Family and the other persons (in the car) family

134. I've read most of the comments on this story and come to the conclusion that a lot of you are plain ol' retarded. The name Richard Gosnell sounds very white to me, I dont know how this is the fault of illegal immigrants. Last time I checked, legal citizens commit a s***load of crimes... People just choose someone else to vent on because they can't pay their mortgages. As for those who blame this on liberals, I agree with you 100%. We need more conservatives like sexual predator Bill O'reilly or maybe drug addict Rush Limbaugh. Its so easy how we choose to forget their criminal behavior. I'm going to the bathroom now. Hope no republican makes any gay sexual advances while I'm trying to take a dump.
