Most Awkward Question Ever To Gayheart

Not a great idea to tell someone who caused a fatal accident to drive safely. Well maybe it is a good idea, but not if you're a photog trying to engage a celebrity.

So imagine the moment when a pap told Rebecca Gayheart yesterday to "drive safely." Remember, back in 2001, Gayheart was driving when she struck and killed a nine year old boy. She was prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter and pleaded no contest. She was placed on three years probation and settled a wrongful-death lawsuit out of court.

Watch the video and squirm.

31. Hopefully, it will soon be illegal for news photographers to engage celebrities.

32. It seems perverse to see her smiling on the red carpet because everytime I see her the first thing I think about is the child she killed.

33. It was an accident. The kid was jaywalking. Poor Rebecca. There should not have been any charges filed against her.

34. She killed a child and she only got 3 years of probation and no jail time??? I never really knew about this because I was 10 when it happened but I can not believe she got off that easy. I mean a friend of mine robbed a liquor store (he didnt have a weapon) and he got 3 years of probation. Robbing a liquor store and killing someone should not have the same consiquences.

35. ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!

I meet Rebecca and Eric in July and they are wonderful people. Rebecca has dedicated the past six years working with Chrysalis helping homeless and disadvantaged people learn the skills necessary for them to become contributing members of society.

She has helped raise millions and millions of dollars to help people. Yeah she messed up but she is doing all that she can to give back. She can't bring that little boy back but she can (and has) help change the lives of those less unfortunate.

What she does for Chrysalis is not as publicized as it should be. Some celebrities get publicity for doing little things once in a while and here Rebecca has been doing this same thing for SIX years.

Thank you Rebecca for doing what you do now. My mom loved her glass butterfly and the chance you all gave her to tell her story this year.

39. I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BRING UP HIS NATIONALITY. TO MAKE A RACIST COMMENT ABOUT SOMEBODY DEATH SPEAKS VOLUMES. A PERSON DIED, BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS NOT PAYING ATTENTION. JUSTICE PREVAILED AND GAYHEART PAID. LEAVE THIS UGLY WOMAN ALONE.
I'M SURPRISED THAT THE FORUMS HATERS ARENT HAVING PARADES AND THE LIKE BECAUSE AN HISPANIC DIED. AFTER ALL EVERYBODY JUST KNOWS FOR A FACT THE LITTLE BOY WAS AN ALIEN AND HIS PARENTS TOO, AND ARE ON GOV ASST STOPPING ALL GOOD AMERICANS FROM BEING ALL THEY CAN BE. ALL OF "YOU PEOPLE" SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. LET'S SEE "YOU PEOPLE" CELEBRATE BRANDY AND FORGIVE HER HER PAST, AFTER ALL SHE ONLY "ACCIDENTLY" KILLED AN ARAB! NOTHING LOST... JUST GOD FORBID SHE KILLED AN WHITE OR A BLACK PERSON WHO MAKE UP EVERY STATE PERSONA IN THE US.

40. She's a useless whore. She should have done jail time for killing a child. Horrific. I've never thought she had any talent and is really odd looking. I'm sure karma will keep paying her visits.

41. I'm sure she was or is still an addict. I can't believe this talentless chick didn't go to jail for something so awful. She *MURDERED* a boy. She was a responsible. Seriously, how many times have YOU driven like this? Me? Never. Most sane people? Never.

42. No matter what she does in the future, she will always be remembered for the worst thing she ever did. It was not murder, as many of you are shouting. She didn't set out to kill a child. It was an accident. A preventable accident, a careless accident, which is why she was found guilty of involuntary manslaugher. She caused an accident which took a life. Everyone up there on their high horses better watch out. Accidents due to carelessness happen to the best of us, and you know what they say about Karma.

43. Joanna, Just because you and Rebecca drive irresponsibly doesn't mean the rest of us do.
