61. If mushers/breeders are selling the skins of their dogs, let us know who they are!!! So if you have names, please put it out there! The public has had it with the greed, the hideous "fashionistas", the indifference to animal suffering! And 2 legged fur wearers need to know that they are guilty of causing innocent animals to suffer...so when you see them on the street, flip them the finger and tell them to crawl back into their caves!

PETA can back up everything on their website. And so can the Humane Society of the United States, which also discusses all of these points. These groups would go down if they lied on their websites because they are constantly being called out on the information. What keeps happening is that they can prove their claims. Plus, you can't lie about a video. I've never been the same since I saw that Raccoon Dog skinned alive in the China fur farm investigation. When that little animal looked up at the camera and she only had eyelashes and some fur around her eyes, I actually cried and help my dog close to me.

68. Pelt , a symbol of ridiculous vanity, based on sheer animal abuse and misery?
There is nothing fashionable or elegant about how animals are killed .

Whether it comes from minks, foxes, raccoons, chinchillas, beavers, rabbits, lynx or an Alaskan Iditarod sled dog, fur looks best on its original owners.

Promoting the violence of the fur industry is unacceptable!!!
Remember: Compassion is always in fashion, cruelty NEVER is.

At least 133 dogs have been run to death or have died from other causes in the Iditarod. There is no official count of dog deaths available for the race's early years.
