Charles refers to himself as 'the defender of faiths' as opposed to the traditional monarchical title of 'defender of the faith' (meaning Church of England.

He is not a convert to Judaism by any stretch of the imagination, however his taste for religion is Islamic. If you do a Google search with the keyworlds 'Prince Charles (and) Islam' you will find plenty of references to his quiet conversion years ago to a sect of Islam. He turned his back on the Church of England and thus technically he cannot ascend to the throne as a holder of foreign religion. He refers to himself as the defender of faiths (notice the plural 's' on the word 'faith' and thus could be construed as still being with the Church of England.

Due to ascention laws, no monarch can ascend to the throne if they are of any other religion other than the Church of England - this is part of the history pertaining to the legal messes when there were Catholic monarchs.

For more information on the rules, regulations and everything pertaining to this, they are there for the Googling.

One last bit of trivia - even though Camilla has stated that should would not take the title of Queen if Charles does ascend to the throne, those same laws dictate that Camilla MUST BY LAW become the Queen (as opposed to the Queen Consort).

There is a lot of problems with regards to these two as future Monarchs. This is why HRH Queen Elisabeth has not ceded the Crown in favour of Charles as she stated several decades ago. (At the time, she mentioned she would abdicate her throne when he turned 28.) You will also remember Prince Philip clearly stating many times over the years that 'Charles is not fit to assume the throne'.

Now you know some of the reasons why. Parliament has a hornet's nest to deal with in terms of Charles' betrayal of 2000 years of English / British monarchy.

71. Question for the TMZ moderator - I have tried 3 times now to write a comment regarding the aspects of ascension to the throne and clearing some misconceptions as to who is actually royal (Camilla) as opposed to a commoner who had the title of Pincess bestowed by virtue of marriage (Diana).

There is no profanity in my note, just relying on various laws and clearing misconceptions.

Please tell me why it is I am being censored - I noticed this occurring when I took exception to the term 'bling' when referring to HRH Queen Elisabeth's crown jewels.

I have noticed you'll allow for the most part my more barbed and politically incorrect comments though... why would you be upset with setting records straight? As a Canadian, you should not be bothered by my respect towards the monarchy - I recognize that the Americans don't have that sort of respect to a real monarchy, but that same respect is bestowed to the Hollyweird set.

Actually to clear up a misconception, Diana was a commoner, not a royal. Camilla is of royal lineage.

The only disgrace is that Charles dithered on marrying Camilla, and she waited a long time for him to make up his mind. Camilla finally came to her senses and married instead of wasting any more time on Charles' dithering. Diana Spencer was a second choice, a publicity-seeking head case who suffered from 'Borderline Personality Disorder'.

Had Charles and Camilla married all those years ago, Diana would have been properly remained a faceless nobody.

The only true thing that 'drove' Diana to her grave was a drunken driver, Henri Paul. If Diana stayed home to raise her two boys in a dignified manner, they'd still have a living mother. But Diana ever the manipulator tried to make Charles 'jealous' by behaving like an alley cat and it caught up with her.

Interestingly enough under the category of 'what if', Diana would not have been able to be crowned Queen, only a Queen Consort as opposed to Camilla who must be crowned Queen as opposed to a Queen Consort.

Charles and Camilla have loved one another for over 30 years. That's real love as opposed to a second choice, mentally ill Diana.
