Weiland to Fans -- I'm No Choir Boy, So What?

Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver rocked out in Hollywood last night, and the frontman made a point to remind the crowd that aging rockers are no role models. Uh, Keith Richards?

Weiland, who was recently charged with driving under the influence of drugs, went on an on-stage rant about not believing everything you hear, and reminding everyone that VR is not the "Mormon Tabernacle F**king Choir." Ya think?

A source backstage at the show tells TMZ, "Scott looked out of it ... he kept away from the rest of the band and didn't take any pictures."

Weiland was set to face a judge this morning in criminal court for his most recent DUI bust, but the case was continued until January 17.

16. I am here only because I am a huge S. Weiland fan. I am a photographer but proudly, Not a paparazzi. Celebs make mistakes just like everyone else! People should respect them for and enjoy theyre tallent and hard work, not spend time over reacting because they are human. What people do in their spare time is their business, no one else's. I read some of the comments on this page... Come on people... What is this, High School? So what if he got busted for breaking the law... Millions of people do much worse than he did, but they arent on this site being thrashed by people who dont even know them.

Working with musicians, I lknow that theese things happen... And while it's always hard on the individual who it happens to, it's always worse when they are torn apart for being human. Treat others as you would like to be treated. It's called being an adult... Oh yeah, and there's also that little thing called 'Karma' Remember?

23. Who cares what Scott thinks of the public? "The squares are the enemy man." He's only hurting himself. His habits will blow up in his face one day.

26. Well, at least he's honest about being a screw-up. I guess it is kind of hard to hang with Duff n' Slash being on the wagon because they almost DIED from alcohol. Real buzzkill, that whole near-death thing. Where is Scott's manager/publicist/assistant/handler/agent ? He should've already spun the previous adventures into a book deal, and could now be starting on the sequel. Oh yeah, I forgot!! They do expect the rehab to have worked prior to starting the talk show circuit.
