34. Aren't there enough living-breathing bad guys to rag on? That's low, even for cyber-bullies. The man's dead, and none of you know much about him recently. You're damning the man to hell for something he did before I was even born. He could have repented, but maybe he didn't. He could have smoked, but maybe he didn't. Sometimes ... people who don't smoke get emphysema, and sometimes ... people who smoke don't get emphysema. It's a toss-up. You don't know that he died a wife-beater, or if cigarettes killed him, and so what is your point? To be jerks for no real reason, as usual.

37. Ike was my neighbor and he was a good one. Ambulances have made a few shows at the house recently, I hope I die as peacefully as he did. My condolences to the family, friends and to all that knew and loved him. Stop bashing the man for the mistakes he has made in the past and learn to forgive. It was not acts commited against any of you so leave it alone and remember him for what he has done for the music industry.

Anyway, I fail to see the karma people keep referring to. Ike died a legend which is why people are talking about him. He made a living doing what he loved to do his whole life. He died peacefully in his sleep at a ripe old age. Where is the karma? R.I.P. Ike

41. Some people are crowing that he deserves better in this late hour due to the fact that he was a rock and roll pioneer. That is all well and good and patently true to some degree...but I just cannot forget that Tina fled from their house with merely pennies and a gas card in her pocket in order to escape his beatings and mental cruelty. Again, some people want to blame the drugs but I've known a lot of drug addicts who DON'T BEAT THEIR WIVES. This guy was just a nasty, amoral and soulless scumbag. Period, end of story. I really don't care that he's not here to pollute the planet anymore. God speed, TINA...you proved that you were the REAL talent in Ike's band, anyway!

42. I'm also tired of these people crawling out of the woodwork and exclaiming how Ike gave them a break in their respective careers (which I find difficult to believe). Well, why didn't he give his WIFE a break? And I don't mean a break in her leg, either.

45. Lastly, Ike may have been a "pioneer" but TINA had the goods...and she always delivered, even when she was under Ike's thumb. Everyone flocked to their shows to see TINA and not Ike. I am happy that she has eked out a beautiful solo career and comfortable private life for herself because she deserves the happiness that she was denied when she was younger.
