47. I can't help but laugh at people who call others FAKE ( green eyes) and those who kid themselves that San Marcos is any thing other than beautiful. Living life near the ocean in sunny southern CA, beats other places by far. Anyhow, live and let live fools. Be kind because Karma is a bitch. Those who never make mistakes will never make anything at all. So let that be a lesson to the immature and cold hearted.

48. My, my all these judges who knew Ike Turner so well! RIP Ike. You made incredable music. Any serious student of the Blues would have to acknowledge his contributions to RnR, RnB and just plain MUSIC. I personally loved the music of IKE AND TINA TURNER. I still listen to their early music from late 1950's 50 yrs later. It's too bad their marriage was so turbulent. I hope Ike found some peace & gratification in his life on earth. His ex-wife Tina has had a spectacular career; I don't think she would judge Ike as harsh as some of the naysayers here. Two to Tango. He did remind me of the legend of Robt Johnson.

49. He's an ***hole. I ran into him at LAX and sadly sat next to him on a bus. He was handing out autograph pics of himself to everyone, even to those not paying any attention to him. One man was handed a pic and tore it up right in his face. priceless..

53. alll this beating mess was a long time ago and i am sure Tina has class enough to forgive and let it go- Ike was a pioneer in the world of music ( a-l-a- Jackie Brenson's Rocket 88 )- i myslef think of no ill will toward Ike and again i am sure Tina is over it too!

54. Here's the thing everyone is on the fact that Ike beat Tina and that i well known because of the books and the movie and all but no one has blamed Tina's mom for the same amount of the beatings. Everytime that Tina tried to leave him all he had to do was call her mom and she told him where she was so it was just not him that was beating her it was her mom also.

59. lise - Anyone who is older than a shoelace and who lived back then knows that there certainly IS a context of time, and that makes YOU the dumb ass for thinking you know what society silently sanctioned and didn't back then. Hindsight is 20/20, and just because you've grown up in improved contitions (because we fought for them) where it is assumed that it isn't OK, doesn't mean it didn't happen back then. As far you stating that he 'got what he deserved - death', big surprise - so will You, and so will the rest of us.

60. One ask that, if we think he made it to heaven? Well in reality, noone knows but God. None of us has a heaven or hell to put anyone in including Ike. I don't agree what he did years ago, because I don't agree with women beaters. But think about it. If we take around somthing for years and never forgive a person, including Ike, then we must ask ourselves if we think that we will get to heaven. Since we can't forgive. As RIP Ike Turner said, no matter what we think of the situation, He is still a legend no matter if we like it or not. Me being a musician myself, it takes dicipline. But I have to ask myself this. What if Ms. Tina didn't go through what she went through, and what if MJ didn't go through what he went thorugh. Would they be as big as they are as far as money and being known. They are 2 poeple that has gone through a lot in their younger age. But they are also 2 people that was very big in the music business.
