Jacko's Face -- It's Bad!

12/17/2007 3:01 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Looking like a character from "Star Wars," a wrapped and bandaged Michael Jackson haunted a Las Vegas bookstore over the weekend. The funk of 40,000 years!

The mummyish 49-year-old former King of Pop hit up a Barnes & Noble with his three kids -- and it seems he may have come fresh from a surgeon's office -- in Iraq! Leave me alone! Jacko's disintegrating face made headlines a few years ago, when he was seen in court -- with a nose that appeared to be falling off. Makes me want to scream!Jacko

TMZ is awaiting a response from Jackson's rep regarding the bandages. It's unknown if Michael was able to speak.

Don't be fooled by MJ. He is much smarter than most people think. He does this purposely to get media coverage. He has done this throughout his career and it has worked for him - remember the oxygen chamber? The Elephant Man's bones? Read the book "Howling at the Moon" by Walter Yetnikoff (head of MJ's record company during the 80's) to fully understand how manipulative and controlling MJ can be (not necessarliyl in a bad way). He is no fool. I am sure a new CD must be on its way. Let's hope it's good! Are we never going to see the top performer alive today perform again? He has pretty much wasted his 40's in terms of music. That's a shame for him and for us.

I personally thank him for trying to hide his face from us. When did he start allowing his kids to go out without their masks?

Just Another Hater

Does he shave with a weed-whacker? Otherwise, your theory strikes me as less than plausible...

I also question whether a person who believes that MJ is a good role model for children should be commenting on the intelligence of other posts.

32. you guys are so mean. Did any of you think he might have cut his face when he was shaving?. Probably not because there are alot of stupid people here..Mike J like I like to call him..Is one of the best role models a black or white kid can have...Quit hating losers....Mike J................................I love you and I love your music so much.....Your number 1 fan....Helentoottoot

DARK MEAT ONLY

Stop invading Michael's privacy! You know full well that Michael doesn't like having his children photogragh TMZ.
Leave his babies alone!

Are those HIS children in those photos??? I think not. He always has them covered or protected from cameras in some way.

And it does look like he cut himself shaving. Poor judgment going outdoors (with or without children) before they healed. Hey Michael barnesandnoble.com and free shipping. Ooops, he might not have credit cards anymore. Sorry.

Wil, didn't you know that Jackson has Vitiligo? You just sound uninformed, and mean, re: the white comment.

I feel so bad for him. He must have a terrible self-image to keep doing this to himself. He was so adorable when he was young, what a shame. I blame the Doctors, who should be arrested!

In reply to #46 "Whatever", Yes, I am aware of his skin condition, but what he did in bleaching his skin went far beyond that. I happen to be a fan of both the Jackson 5 and of Michael Jackson. I think it's a shame that he became so obsessed with his transformation that he has all but ruined his face, and, as a result, endangered his career. Whether or not the children are biologically his (which is between the mothers and him) is totally beside the point. He is raising them, and has legal custody of them; therefore they are his, just as much as an adopted child and a biological child are equal. I hope that Michael Jackson is not physically beyond restoration, and that his career would get back on track, for he is (or was) a very powerful musical talent.

JACKO IS WEIRD AND HE ALWAYS WILL BE, BESIDES THE FACT THAT HE IS A CHILD MOLESTER. I WOULD NOT PAY 1 CENT TO SEE HIM ANYWHERE. HE SHOULD STAY WHEREVER HE IS, BESIDES WHAT IS HE TRYING TO PROVE AND YOU CAN ONLY SEE THAT HE WOULD LOVE TO BE WHITE, WHAT WITH HAVING ARTIFICALLY INSEMINATED CHILDREN THAT ARE WHITE.

THE WHOLE FAMILY IS WEIRD.

Ah, I see you appreciated him, but are now disgruntled now that he did the altering surgeries. O.K.
Personally, I question the plastic surgeon's judgement. Money shouldn't always talk above common sense and medical ethics.

he's a role model? put down the crack pipe my friend. he is not a role model. role models do not get charged with child molestation. role models do not butcher their face. role models do not keep hold their babies over balconies and put bags on their heads.

yeah MJ is the king of pop. and has the best selling album of all time (which is thriller) but he's still a freak. and he is no role model

People are so quick to redicule Michael Jackson. Many of us 40 somethings remember the wonder of seeing him as a child performing with the Jackson 5. Many of us can never forget the depth of emotion in his prepubesent voice that moved us beyond measure. And the teenaged Michael who along with his brothers who excited us with his dance moves. Also the masterpiece of "Off the Wall" that he created with Quincy Jones. And finally Thriller. Everyone focuses on the exterior that we see today. But what ever happened to Michael Jackson is a human tragedy. He gave us alot and deserves a bit of sympathy.
