The Killers were back in front of the California State Labor Commissioner today in a bid to avoid paying a former manager $3 million. So much for Mr. Brightside!
Lead singer Brandon Flowers faced his second day of cross-examination by lawyers for Braden Merrick, who sued the Vegas rockers for unpaid commissions in 2006.
Brandon and the boys are seeking to void their management contract -- alleging Merrick booked employment without a license. Details, details!

Merrick's attorney, Howard King, is representing Margaret Cho in a similar suit against me, her former manager and business partner. In our case, however, he is HOPING for that "Hail Mary" pass from the Labor Commissioner that will allow her to pocket the commissions she owes me.
Our suit goes in front of the Labor Commissioner on Feb. 20 at 8:30 am. All my pleadings are on a blog I created here: margaretchoandme.blogspot.com.
