Casey's Mom: I'm Going to Be a Grandma!

Casey Aldridge and Jamie Lynn SpearsTMZ spoke exclusively with Joyce Aldridge, mother of Casey, who confirmed that Jamie Lynn Spears is indeed pregnant with her grandchild.

Joyce said, "We are aware of the recent interview regarding her and being pregnant, and we are in agreement with everything that was said by Jamie Lynn about the situation ... everything is fine."

When asked if Casey had anything to say about his girlfriend being preggo, she said, "At this point, Casey doesn't wish to speak out, but it would be wonderful when the time comes." When asked about their ages and any negative aspects, she said, "Casey will address all of this when it is time."

TMZ also spoke with Casey's grandfather, James, who did not know about the pregnancy, but confirmed his grandson is dating Britney's sister, and that his son Mark, Casey's dad, works at a paper mill in Cleveland, TN.

139. Lynn Spears is pathetic. She needs to spend less time shoving her kids into stardom and writing parenting books (no thanks, Lynn!) and actually parenting her children. Apparently, she's never had the "talk" with her girls about safe sex.

Well, I guess if the kid's pregnant, it would be nice if the baby is wanted and loved by all. If the baby is a fact of life, then everyone needs to deal with it and go on down the road.

Helluva a way to start a new life if they all start bickering over it and exploiting what should prove to be explosive tabloid coverage.

If the evil paps will leave them alone, they might have a chance at some semblance of normalcy.

We do have a very sad case in our city. The couple is a little older now, but basically in the same situation. The only problem is that the mother of the girl did not like the 19 year old father. There was more than 24 months difference in their ages when she got pregnant and she was under the age of consent (age 16).

Her parents allowed them to marry, but the D.A. filed charges against the girls husband for statutory rape. He had to serve time in prison and when he got out he had to register as a sex offender. For the rest of his life. He and his wife now have 2 children. He can't Trick or Treat with his children. He won't be able to go to their t-ball games or volleyball games when they are older.

This was not a case of an older guy exploiting a younger girl. They are apparently in love and are very stable.

It is sad that the D. A. and the mother went to such pains to punish the young man. They have dealt this young couple great harm because of their actions. They both cried when he said that he dreads having to tell his children that he is a registered sex offender because of his relationship with their mother and the birth of their first child.

The law is there to protect young people from older sexual predators. The law should not be used as either a moral compass or as revenge by parents.

I don't agree with allowing your 16 year old daughter to move in with a male of any age. But if we could try to be sane about the issue, no decent mother will agree to it. That said, the only problem is when a mother is faced with a headstrong daughter who WILL have her way and will get her way in some fashion. There are some battles you cannot win without losing a child forever. This may have been one of those situations.

And as far as people calling her a "whore", I can assure you that there are lots of girls out there Jaime Lynne's age AND YOUNGER that are frequently having sex. Girls at 15 aren't what girls used to be at 15 even 10 years ago. Thanks to television, the internet and salacious movies. Sex sells. It's out there in your face and these kids see it every single day from Victoria Secrets and Calvin Klein ads to sitcoms and daytime soaps.

Girls ARE having sex. That is a fact of life. Girls sometimes get pregnant, which is also a fact of life. It's not smart, but neither does it make them a whore because they got pregnant. She got caught. Maybe yours and mine didn't....or simply haven't yet.

We can counsel them as parents, but ultimately it is their body and we cannot guard them 24/7. There are plenty of good parents out there whose children have ended up in the same situation.

All I am saying is that we only hear or read in the tabloids what they write. None of us know them personally, nor the dynamics of their family unit, so it is difficult to separate the "facts" from real life.

Angelina Jolie was one screwed up puppy when she was in her early teens. Flagrant sex, live-in boyfriend at age 14, kinky sex with knives, etc. She seems to have come out of it and, by all appearances, is an exceptional mother. I say, "live and let live".

144. There's over four myspaces for "Casey Aldridge" and the ages range from 15 to 17.
He probably deleted his real page or changed his age.
This is ridiculous. And I'm not surprised.

145. That's funny you people can judge her & call her a slut, but when a teen becomes pregnant you can call her irresponsible, but not all are sluts. I am a little over 11 weeks pregnant & I lost my virginity to my boyfriend. I am not a slut... so before you JUDGE know the person.

146. Also, CASEY & JAMIE LYNN WERE TOGETHER BEFORE HE WAS CONSIDERED AN "ADULT" so statutory isn't really the deal. A few years age difference isn't a big deal. I bet you people speaking are or have dated people younger or older than you... whether or not you were older than the age of 18.
