My daughter is sick from this. It has caused me to have an uncomfortable conversation an 8 year old wasn't ready to hear.

I had to go through the same thing years ago when my stepkids wondered why Paul Reubens aka Pee-Wee Herman was kicked off the air. No parent should have to explain that a kid icon, and in this case it was a children's TV show host whose toys and dolls we bought, has an ugly personal life. Reubens crossed the line which is why CBS axed his show. And this was before we learned that he collected child porn, including 170 photos of naked little boys in sexual positions, a crime for which he took a plea bargain! That he paid off the family doesn't matter, he's a convicted child porn aficianado.

Now Jamie Lynn has made the mistake of her life and I'll bet anything it wasn't her first pregnancy. I'm angry at all of the people involved. Nick needs to cancel the show, the boyfriend needs to be prosecuted, and Lynne Spears' book should be canceled.

Hannah Montana wouldn't do this. I hope.

67. To those who say 3 year age difference isn't much, yes it is when they are 16 and 19. Jamie Lyn's mother is the one to blame. She should be keeping up with her daughter and not allow her alone time with a guy!!! That's what my mom did and it worked. My mom always said "you put two healthy teenagers alone in a room and that is the recipe for how a baby is made". This should be a wake up call to all parents..... know what your kids are doing!!! Does anyone think that a 19 year old boy doesn't have sex on his mind 24/7???? Even kids who attend church have raging hormones.....it can happen to anyone, it just looks worse when you mess up and you are a church going/christian. In Gods eyes it's the same!

68. Shelly, you need to stop judging strangers you don't even know. You don't know anyone here, so slinging around a bunch of unfounded assumptions about how a bunch of people you don't know were conceived makes you sound like a ranting loony-tunes. A lot of people posting on these blogs are parents who raise their children right. Britney and Jamie Lynn were raised to believe they don't have to abide by the same rules and morals as others, and they are proof of how badly that kind of upbringing can be for young, impressionable children. No accountability for their actions, and people like you, Shelly, are the enablers that prevent young kids like this from taking control of their lives and living with a strong set of morals. After all, everyone else did it, huh, Shelly, can't be wrong if everyone else is doing it. Well, some of us are raising OUR children to be morally responsible, and as for me, this is working out just fine. And my parents were married for 2 years before they had their first child, Shelly, so your assumptions about MY family are way off base. Enablers like Shelly are the reason there are so many Britney and Jamie Lynn moral trainwrecks these days.

70. Spears' mother should have told the adult, get my duaghter pregnant, and I'll see you in jail. He had the adult responsbility to follow the law, yet alone, prevent another dumb Spear to harm her health, career, and future, and keep her form getting pregnant. It was intentional so he could cash in on the Spear empire. Jamie nor Britney can act, and Jamie can't sing, she hasn't built the empire that Britney and her mom, did for Britney. They just figure at this rate, Britany won't live much longer, or what. No mother would be happy, and now one wonders if the Spears' mother is nothing but an enabler, that can't advise her girls, but rather encourages them to be sexual before they are ready. I no longer have any sympathy for those girls mother. She should not do the interview, but then she needs attention for her book, now that Britney has cut her mom off, though Britney would never had made it big without her mother's drive. Nor would Jamie Spears have any career, if not on the coat tails, or pantyless Britney. Poor Britney, her sister will get more attention then her now. What a mess. Not to many relationships at 16 last, and longterm? Her mom, needs to save her duaghter, give up the money, and let them hit bottom. This man can't possibley love Jamie, or he'd been a responsible adult, and made sure she didn't get pregnant. Show her some honor, be willing to wait til she was adult. And when the dumb kid, figures out, his actions were not love, but lust, she can spend the rest of her life, sharing this child with an imature, selfish adult, who will cheat on her if, he'll if skrew a minor. Shame on Spears mother, the father, the fathers mom, who should be angry at her son, and shame for another POOR ROLE MODEL for young girls. It's time for mom's too boycott their girls from any Spears, period.

72. Thanks grandma. I got to explain to my youngest about going to church doesn't mean the kids practice, and that the devil sit's in the front pew. Why didn't you tell your son, while breaking the law, to at least protect the child from getting pregnant. What about marriage before pregnancy. What church do these trashy families go to, so my children don't go to it.
This is the time to be a roll model, and talk about the consequences. No parent wants their child 16 or 19 getting pregnant. Grandma's just sucking up for that money and fame. Love of money is the root to all evil. Sure, everyone is sinners, but it's good to admit to the sin, not act like it's God ordained. Hey Grandma, is your son ready to support Jamie, after hurting her career. No one wants their children even married at such a young age. 75. seriously, what is wrong with just 3 years difference? technically it is not illegal to be dating someone who is older than 18 if you are younger when you have parental consent.
