How to be a real mother and stop pushing your children to be celebrities so you can live off their money? What could she possible tell us? Perhaps she should read The Strong Willed Child by James Dobson - oops, too late for that now. Her kids are already crapped up! Lack of supervision - I blame the parents for all of it! Why? Because there was no parenting...only dollar signs!!

93. IMO, if you aren't intelligent enough to swallow a pill when you wake up, or see to it that no one can spew a disease into you, you are too ignorant, or too selfish, to guide another person's life over the next 20 some-odd years.

Of course, family will help. They'll have to, because the situation has been forced upon them. Clear your head of the "me, me, me" for a moment, and you might see how profoundly others are affected. Just as the teen mother's parents are looking forward to their freedom, and the grandparents are looking at retirement, it's all snatched away. Yes, they will love the baby, that's the nature of blood, but your parents had lives and goals before they became parents, and they're waiting to be done with you to resume them.

It seems everyday another unmarried celebrity is announcing they are having a baby.
Without strong parenting and morals these kids are lost.

Lynne Spears created the trainwreck Britney is, she didn't stay at home long enough to allow her husband to participate very much in raising the girl but whisked Britney off to New York and who knows where else promoting her as a young child, molded her into a pedophile's dream as a young teen, and revels in the wealth she gained at Brit's expense. She and her husband divorced (we heard that he divorced her, not vice versa), and Lynne is the one in control of molding Jamie Lynn into whatever she may become. Jamie Lynn did what most 16 year old girls do these days -- had sex. Not right but not unusual either. Maybe there's not much Lynne could have done to prevent that, but why didn't Lynne teach her about birth control? Does the child receive any education at all or is she as uneducated as her semi-retarded sister? Seriously, Britney appears to suffer from a severe case of arrested development (most likely brought on by Lynne putting an end to her childhood far too soon.) That publishing company needs to cancel her book unless or until she decides to write one about her own mistakes and the serious results of them. (It's been suggested her husband was still married when she met and began dating him. It seems she is not as saintly as she wants to claim.) She is not "to blame" for Jamie Lynn's pregnancy, but she is not and has never been a good mother and should not be allowed to put herself forth as one and make money off that too. I think TMZ and other sources need to publicize Lynne Spears' faults, bad habits, sins, etc. to the hilt and let the world see what she truly is like, no holds barred.

102. America is one screwed up country. Underage kids know what they are doing when it comes to sex, but if this case is treated by the law, is certainly rape, there is no other way around it. Since when the law can be distorted to fit a so called celebrity? An ordinary individual would be sitting in jail for this. So a promise of marriage makes it ok to have sex and get an underage girl pregnant? Or by her saying she is going ahead with the pregnancy and they will deal with it, warrants avoiding any action taken by the law? This situation, by law is is rape to me, but as individual I see just two consenting idiots who did not used protection.

I'd like to add one more comment about the father of Jamie Lynn's child -- If other young men in the same situation (and there are many) have to go to jail or prison and have that on their record for the rest of their lives, then this young man needs to be charged with statutory rape too. He should not be entitled to any of Jamie Lynn's money (if she has any that Lynne Spears hasn't confiscated). As to the young man's mother, well, I know there's not much she can say or do about the situation, but I wish she could not have parrotted Lynne Spears' famous dimwitted reply about everything "It's going to be fine." Lynne said that about every one of Britney's debacles and it has kept on getting worse. It does sound stupid and trashy. The woman should merely have said, "No comment" and given us all hope that Jamie Lynn's baby will have at least one good grandmother.

105. LOL. I know someone named Joyce who's son is a complete man-whore. She may end up having to say these same things to someone in like, two years!!! It may not be in the news, but it will be quite a scandal within our church!!! Lol, the resemblance between thes two women is hilarious!!!
