21. How could she write a book about parenting when she hasnt helped her own daughter with her parenting skills? Her mother needs to be the one to step up and help BRitney, then if she accomplish that she should write a book about it. But for Britney my 2008 resolution for you is to regain your life back, wake up and take care of your kids. Also if you have people that surround you that are negatively influencing you GET RID OF THEM and gain back your kids! We all know that you have the financial means to do it, but you need help! 26. Okay, Lynne Spears. Where to begin? To start with, Lynne is now touted as a “former school teacher” but when Brit first became famous it was publicly stated that Lynne had worked in a day center. Which is it? There’s a big difference between the two. Lynne spent most of Brit’s childhood living with her in New York and driving her places for auditions, etc., and a school teacher would not be able to keep a job and do all that too. So, what is the truth on that? Lynne recently stated that she was stunned or shocked or blind sided by the "sudden" and "unexpected" plunging of her little family into the world of show business, etc. In reality she primed that child for such a life from the time Britney could walk. That was her main focus, not her other children or her marriage or anything else. It was no “sudden plunge” or “shock.” The woman is a phony.

In Brit's early teens, Lynne dressed her up like a kiddie porno queen and flaunted her underage sexuality in the public eye. Lynne scored big, got rich quick. She loved it. When Brit was only 16 or 17, Lynne was quoted as saying "I don't worry about her. She's one tough cookie." (Does that sound like a good mother? No!) And once the Britney train derailed? Lynne stated more than once, "Everything's going to be fine." Well, it hasn't been fine, has it? It's only gotten worse.

Okay, it's too late for Lynne to undo the damage she did to Brit and Brit is too old for her mom to step in and take charge of her. But after all of that, Lynne learned nothing valuable. She allowed Jamie Lynn at 16 to live with her 19 year old boyfriend. Now that girl is pregnant and it's too late for Lynne to educate her child regarding morals or birth control or plain old fashioned common sense.

Lynne should be arrested for that because Jamie is a minor. Lynne should be exposed publicly as a terrible mother, not flaunted as a great one. Now she wants to write a book (a spiritual one no less!) about her parenting and make money off the wrong she has done to her daughters (and what about her son? Does she even remember she has one?) If her daughters weren’t well known, nobody would want to publish a book by Lynne Spears because without them, she’s nothing, she’s nobody, just an aging “wanna-be pop tart.” The publishing company has put the book on hold, and I hope they can the project completely. I guess it’s too much to hope for that people out here – those who love Britney and those who hate her – will boycott Lynne’s book and refuse to allow her to get rich(er) off her daughters’ misfortunes (misfortunes of which Lynne is the major cause.)

29. Yes, Brit is an adult and Lynne can't control her. But while she was raising her, Lynne did not teach her any life skills to ensure a fair chance at a good adult life. She taught her how to flaunt sexuality for profit. She didn't insist the girl get an education. She allowed her to become an uneducated adult who is an embarrassment to herself. She taught Brit by example exactly the wrong things to do and believe and be.

Lynne has been too greedy and self-centered to realize her mistakes and she is repeating them with her younger daughter. Jamie Lynn isn't the only 16 year old to ever get pregnant. It might have happened even without Lynne for a mother. But Lynne ensured that it was going to happen when she allowed her to live with that guy when she's still a minor child. That is a crime Lynne should be convicted of. She deserves a criminal record for that.

Even the best parents can't control their teenagers and adult children completely, but they can bring them up with the right values and educate them and prepare them for a good life. Lynne Spears did none of these things. And that is why she has to be blamed for much of what's happened.
