20. This is so pathetic. He was always a good actor and used to be a nice guy. The drugs rendered him into a automaton, a piece of vermin and a schmuck dating the likes of Heidi Fleiss. UGH. I hope that he can stay clean and eventually segue into acting again. Tom, keep your eye on the program and retain a tight circle of friends who don't party. You don't want to end up six feet under nor do you want to be a has-been for the rest of your natural life. Sobriety is a better payoff than you might think.

28. Those who know through experience know that only Tom knows how much pain and demoralizatoin it takes to get him to do the work it requires to not pick up the pipe again. Say what you want, you're going to anyway. But it is a life we're talking about. Just like Amy Winehouse, he could die from this progressive and fatal illness. Who seems to care in this town? 29. What's the best that can happen here? Tom STAYS clean, and without seeking a Hollywood credit helps another methhead get out of his or her own hell on earth. He lives his life on a new spiritual plane and actually has a purpose and finds redemption -- not the kind that Hollywood puts on the movie screen but uh, a real dose of it. Such miracles do happen. I hope you get to witness one in Tom's life and in others. Open your eyes and hearts darkened by pessimism and fatalistic thinking. I hope you get to feel what it feels like to wish somebody the same thing you'd wish for yourself if you were them.
