337. A recent magazine came out with Brad and Angelina as the perfect couple. Pictures of Halley Berry are everywhere. Tom Cruise and Katy's baby and her pregnancy was in the news all the time. When most of Hollywood is having babies without being married, why are you then surprised that young girls are getting pregnant all the time. I do NOT think these pregnant unwed young girls should be tared and feathered but society needs to quit applauding unwed Hollywood mothers and stop putting them on the covers. 339. Why shouldn't Britney support her sister at this time? If she didn't wouldn't we all just call her a hypocrite? Lots of 16 yr olds are having sex nowadays, and plenty of them get pregnant. Some abort, others don't. I for one, am glad Jaime Lynn did not abort the baby. I think that would make a poor example even worse. The best thing we can do is teach our children that there are no icons to emanate, and do the role modeling for them ourselves. Let's start with tolerance.

341. OK< you know so what if Brit is happy for her sister, Jamie Lynn. The deed has been done, the girl is pregnant. Walking around all upset over it now is not going to change the fact that in a few months she will be a mother and that baby will out. So if someone approves or disaproves is not really the question here, cause its going to happen anyhow. So deal with it. What concerns me is that Jamie Lynn is just a kid of 16 and has no real life experiences. She is not the normal teen girl pregnant and has lots of money. I'd hate for some silly teen girl to think that Jamie Lynn has a normal life and think I should get pregnant to. BUT in reality, Jamie lynn has tons of money and will hire nanny's to take care of the kid so she can run around and finish school and still have fun. While if the normal teen gets pregnant, it's not like that at all. We are talking the end to fun, no party, and for some end of school. AND end to a good nights sleep for years to come. Not to mention, every man you date will have to not only deal with your family but your kid to. NO nanny for the normal teen.

342. FYI..This is statutory rape. While 16 may be the age on consent, that is only when the other teenager who the 16 yr old is having sex with is not 18 or older. 18 is considered to be an adult in this country. If there is sexual contact between a 16 and 19 yr old, it is statutaory rape, it does not matter if the 16 yr old agreed to have sex or even initiated it, its still against the law as she is a minor and he is not. Of course without the parent asking that charges be pursued, they will not be pursued by the legal system...just an FYI

343. Grams, who cares what the legal age is in other countries. Jamie Lynn is from USA not other countries. I for one am grateful we do not allow 13 or 16 year olds to be considered legal. How horrible. I bet grams is just a kid and not really a "gram" cause most mature adults would see it that way to. They'd know that a 13 year old is not mature enough to make adult decisions and to have sex with men or women. And a 16 year old is not mature enough either, at least most of them aren't. But I have to say that now him being 19 is not the problem. That is just a 3 year difference. But the problem is that they were dating since Jamie Lynn was 13. Now that is a problem. That make him 16 at there first date. That is a problem.NO 13 year old should be dating a 16 year old boy. But hey we are talking about the Spear family.

345. You guys act like you've never heard of a 16 year old getting pregnant. Come on people, it happens every day. Look, I am not condoning to this, but why are you all even acting surprised? It's normal these days. The difference between her getting pregnant and a regular teenager is, that she can most likely afford it more than the typical girl. The downside is she's a rolemodel to young girls every where...but hey, sex and teen pregnancy is EVERY where you look... Kids are going to do what they want anyway...despite what the "celebs" do.
