Erik Estrada -- Please Pray for My Son

Erik Estrada issued the following statement to TMZ:

"My wife and I have been informed that my adult son Brandon has been involved in an incident, Brandon informed us recently that he has had 'stress' and "pressure' at college and has elected to see an on-campus psychologist, of which I told him that it was a good idea to talk to someone about his feelings and condition. I have been made aware through this incident that he has been on some kind of medicine for stress and or depression. I was unaware he was taking any kind of medicine until this incident, as he does not live with us. I would like to thank all of the women and men of law enforcement as well as Northwest airlines for helping my son when he was clearly not able to help himself. I am sorry that other passengers had to be negatively affected by this incident and thank all of them for helping my son. He now can get help that he clearly needs. Please reach out to my son in your prayers during this time of need and I thank you for all of your support."

17. That is a very well said letter by a guy that i thought was a tool. It's impressive and it's good of him to speak out

18. Nice message by Officer Ponchorello. However, I cannot help but to think of what comedian George Lopez said during a recent performance...as a kid, he said he really idolized Erik Estrada but that he was snubbed by him while trying to get an autograph or something to that effect...now Ponch is doing infomercials and George Lopez is possibly the most successful Mexican-American comedian ever. It does seem that Ponch is more humble is his old age.

19. This is such a dignified way to handle a situation. I so admire him stepping right up to the plate and addressing the issue. My heart aches for him or any parent dealing with a child going through problems and hope that everything will work out well for both of them and that his son gets well soon. I really do admire the way he has handled this.

21. As a young girl I had a huge crush on Ponch. I had the opportunity to meet him in Chicago this past year. He was just as humble & appreciative as this statement suggest he is. I wish his son all the luck!

22. Wow! Erik Estrada has come back to earth. Back when he was a TV star, he was a real A-Hole.
