Judge: You R Going to Court ... Finally!

After five and a half years, R Kelly finally has a date for his child porn trial. Ignition!

Kelly was in court today -- just two days after he missed an appearance due to some, er, difficulties with his tour buses in Utah. The judge was not pleased, commenting that the court had worked around Kelly's tour schedule. In the end, Kelly apologized (I'm not trying to be rude!) and the judge decided not to revoke his bail. Toot toot!

The judge also said he could perform at his concert tonight in Chicago. It's the freakin' weekend baby, I'm 'bout to have me some fun!

19. #18

You are one sick son of a dog. Read his comments. This guy says its ok to have sex with kids, long as they're parents "turned them out".

Forget that TV show, To Catch A Predator, go to TMZ post number 18 and you got one right there.

What a Sicko...for what? the love of R Kelly's music. Love the music jerk off, but leave the kids alone.

23. This pedophile is constantly getting press, getting radio play, going on tours and making music THAT PEOPLE ARE BUYING!I can't believe this! Micheal Jackson got off because he has "universal appeal". I'm hoping that they can lock r. kelly's ass up after all his years of molestation.

24. How much fun she had is irrelevant@ Daneen...Statutory rape apples to ALL minors, not just the innocent ones. Her AUNT, Sparkle, was involved w/ Kelly when she claims he started leaving the studio with her 12 year old niece for extended periods of time while she worked. The girl was 15 at the time of the video I am sure Robert Kelly had her trained by then.

26. For those that want R. Kelly to go to jail, I join you in that sentiment. That being said, however, the trial still has to take place and there are no guarantees. I only hope the prosecution has an air-tight case because as we have seen with Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake and others, there is no sure thing when it comes to the courtroom.

I still say R. could've been stopped years ago if the Haughtons (the parents of late R & B star Aaliyah) would've pressed charges back in 1993-94 when they found out their then 15 year old daughter was married to this early 30's star! I applaud them for stepping in on that situation but they should've finished R. off back then, then maybe we wouldn't be dealing with this now.

Back to the present, it is such a shame that such a talented individual has a sickness like this. I put him in the vein of Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson, Chris Benoit, Michael Vick and others who had great talent in their respective fields but was caught up by whatever demons had control of them.

I shed no tears for R. Kelly though. As great as he is, this must end. To quote Anthony Hopkins from Bram Stroker's Dracula...."Make no mistake. He must be stopped."

30. R Kelly will get off. It's been over five years and no trial. In other words the prosecution doesn't have any evidence against him. Think about it Micheal Vick was tried and convicted in less than a year. If you don't like R Kelly or his music then don't listen.
