I think we should give will a break and remember he is only human and sometime we choose the wrong words, I do not think he meant any disrespect I feel his comments were based more on the idea that Hitler was indeed a sick individual who's own mind was so distorted that his sense of reality seemed real in his eyes, though we all know it was not. So lets not judge someone and suggest they are a racist because that is certainly not the case.

33. So sick of thd damn Jewish people always palying the role of martyrs even to this day. Of course what happened to them, and many polish people were horrible, but at all points in time all races, religions have been persecuted. I think the rag-mag probably juced up his words, but sounds like he was trying to say that something mad Hitler turn evil, that he just didnt wake up one day and ecide to be evil. But of course, the jewish people will turn this into him being anti-semetic.

You cant say one word about the jewish people in any negative way, or you will be called anti-semetic.

Hitler strengthened the German economy, built thier autobahn, the Volkswagen (people's car) beetle was created under his rulership as well as he drastically reduced crime in Germany by not putting up with thugs and actually punishing them. ( we should try that in the US). So in a sence he did do some good. HOWEVER he was also a crazy murdering lunatic who killed many jews, disabled people and german gentiles who were against the Nazi regime. But people - the zeitgiest of the time was that the entire world hated the jews. France sent back to Germany train loads of Jews during the war when they KNEW there were jewish death camps.
Not the same but similarly the US knows there is genocide in Darfur and are not doing anything about it. Read your history- educate yourself.

And the Jewish anti def league should not be hypocritical and instead of worrying about a celebrity, should fight for thier fellow humans being slaughtered in Darfur.

38. Will Smith has made a big mistake...The mistake is talking about the Holocaust. As a Jew I don't think he is a bigot, but I also think he gave some light to something that has total darkness.

The only comment anyone in his shoes should make publically about the Holocaust or any atrocities are that they were horrible events committed by horrible people. That's it!

He should know better. Here's the irony...Will Smith is really GAY. His whole marriage is a scam, and so is Tom Cruise, John Travolta and a few more....His public life is so fake that he has lost a grip on reality. Will Smith has lost Will Smith, and that is the really the biggest travesty here.

39. People are WAY to touchy about this subject. Will is right! Adolph did think what he was doing was right. Yes obviously Adolph Hitler was a homicidal nutcase and we all see that, including Will, but you have to realize Hitler obviously thought what he was doing was right. He didnt see anything wrong with killing millions of Jews. In his messed up head he was doing the right thing. Its no different than terrorists who kill in name of Allah. They truly believe they are serving their God although majority of public understands this is nuts - they dont think its nuts at all. Will isnt siding with or saying Adolph was good guy he is simply stating the trtuth about how Hitler viewed the Holocaust.

42. People really blow things out of proportion and take things out of context. When will we learn? I'm 100% positive that Will Smith did not mean anything wrong by this comment. Hitler, a very evil man, did in fact think what he was doing was for the good of the world. Just like all evil dictators, he thought what he was doing was right. It wasn't. Unfortunately for Will Smith he spoke about this. The only ignorance on his part was to even talk about the subject. I think from now on celebrities should only talk about the weather. This way they can steer clear of all the idiots that help further twist words and take things out of context for their own crusades. Scientology, black, white, jewish, have nothing to do with any of it. Boycotting movies and actors is a bunch of bull.... because we all hang on their words and actions anyway. 43. Are you people serious? All he's saying is "evil people don't think they are evil". They think they are doing right just in the same way YOU do. He's commenting on the fact that the real world isn't like comic books, where they have an "Evil Brotherhood". Hitler DID think he was doing right. He DIDN'T think he was a bad man. And that is what we all have to be careful of. Thinking you are right or good doesn't make it true. So my advice to you all is stop and think before you go on some stupid tirade about Will Smith being an anti-semite or racist. He was simply stating an observation, and a good one at that.

44. Well, so far Will has managed to say all the right things, however, being a big star in Hollywood, you knew a PR blunder was coming sooner or later. People, keep your mouths CLOSED. Don't try to theorize everything. That's why we have professors. Go shoot some more mutant Zombies in 2012 wasteland New York and quit offering opinions on Hitler. I don't think this is necessarily a career killer, but he'd better issue an apology quick or he'll find himself working security at Walmart with Wesley Snipes. When will we learn?
