Celebrity Justice
Rodriguez to Spend Xmas in the Pokey

Michelle Rodriguez booking photo"Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez checked herself into Lynwood Jail Sunday afternoon to begin serving her 180 day jail sentence for violating her probation.

The actress was on probation for a variety of crimes, including DUI and hit and run. She violated that probation when she failed to provide proof of completion of her community service, and when she consumed alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol monitoring device. Whoops!

The judge who sentenced Rodriguez back in October specifically said that she was not be granted a work furlough, early release or home confinement and must remain in jail for the entire 180 days. Lynwood is the same jail in which Paris Hilton did her time earlier this year.

Last year, Rodriguez was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but because of overcrowding she was released the same day she went in.

17. WRONG. Her previous sentence was 60 days, not 260. Get your facts straight.

18. Why go in a couple of days before Christmas? Is she hoping for either pity to get her out, or that the jail will be so overflowing with holiday drunks and scofflaws, that she'll be released early.

Interesting.

19. This is so horrible. A mean and hateful sentence by a mean and hateful judge. She deserved a better fate. I hope she finally gets some justice by being released for overcrowding after she does the 10% or 18 days.

California, your courts suck.

20. She is one hot bad-ass! She fell off the radar while filming down under. One of the downfalls of being famous, tougher consequences.

21. In most peoples' book, if someone has a measure of talent (most do), and has the LUCK of being given a chance to accomplish something in their life (and influence others) but chooses to throw it away on corruption, - they not only do NOT deserve any more status of "celebrity" but more fully deserve the consequences. Throw them away and let someone else with some actual "class" have a chance. People who still follow after a "star" after they've prooved themselves dregs of society are really in need of psychological counseling. At this juncture she's nothing more than a has-been that might-have-been, - not much social use, whatsoever.

23. Yeah, I'll bet that she's REAL tough and a REAL bad-ass after the alcohol and drugs have had time to purge from her system, not to mention the adjustment in "tude" that's coming to her from the long-timers that rule the inside of the place. Yeah, she'll be REAL tough,.....NOT.

24. What's with these judges, no time off for good behavior? Amazing!! If she wasn't a celebrity and no one knew about this the sentence wouldn't be so harash. This judge must know Kiefer's judge -

25. There is a Santa....she just doesn't get "it" yet...she is a walking and sadly, talking text book picture of an alcoholic..what a waste..hopefully she will have some time to think about where she is and how she got herself there...lets hope she will someday look back on it and consider herself very lucky.

30. keep that bar/club sKank in there for a year so that she realizes how good she had it. unbelievable how these idiots have it so good and screw it all up in a short period of time. make them accountable and a good portion of the other privileged media personalities will fall in line.
