He might be a rabble-rouser of the first order, but when Rev. Al Sharpton gets his morning joe, he's all peace and love, man.


TMZ spotted the Rev. getting revved up with a little Starbucks on the Upper West Side, and when he flashed a genuine peace sign at the bidding of one photog, he took pains to make sure it was interpreted properly: "Don't say it was a gang sign," he cautioned.

Let's see: Starbucks + Upper West Side + Al Sharpton? Not adding up to gang territory, exactly.

17. Let him stay in NYC and drink all the Starbucks he wants! We don't want him down here in Louisiana. Anyone heard of the Jena 6? What a crock....Al and Jesse showed up and stirred the pot...asking for the 6 black boys to have all charges dropped after they gang style jumped on a white boy. The national news made it sound like the whole central part of the state was racist. They sure didn't report the whole truth.

21. This guys big mouth is part of the reason racism is still prevelant in this country. Stop reporting on him and maybe he will go away. Attention needs to be brought to somethings, but not every little thing that happens to a black pereson is because white people are prejuidice. And until people like this stop stirring that crap up we will never have racial harmony.
African Americans will continue to thinks whites owe them everything and whites will continue to hate them for thinking and acting that way.

22. I get it... he was there to publicly apologize to the Duke lacrosse team. Nope, that wasn't it. Maybe he wanted to revisit the case with those mopes in downstate Illinois and/or Alabama with jesse Jackson. Nope. Or Tawana Brawley, or to complain about Chicago's attempt to gain the Olympics which would benefit the entire black community, but he doesn't see it that way. Seems Chicago had some bad cops and is working to fix the problem but Al wants it fixed NOW. Moron.

25. You all sit and talk about how racists he is while you spew all kinds of comments. I can't believe that a man buying coffee is cause for you bigots to start with the garbage. I used to have nothing against white people. I've never really had an racist encounters. But over the last few months, visiting this site, I realize that you all hate us and even something as small as buying coffee makes you wish we were dead. I see now that the reassurance of no one knowing who you are makes you say how you really feel and it makes me wonder if the white people I work with and are friends with, say the same things when I'm not around. I feel really naive because I really wanted to believe that this kind of bigotry was dead. Now I see, it never died, you're just bigger cowards now so you say it anonymously. At least your fore-fathers had the balls to tell us to our faces what they really thought. Al Sharpton hasn't turned me against white people or divided anything. But you people, you make me think WHITE PEOPLE SUCK!
