91. The color of Brandy's skin has NOTHING to do with this tragedy. Those racists who keep name calling should crawl back under their rocks.

It seems funny that this far down the road from the accident date that she is now being found innocent when immediately after the accident she contritubted to the accident.

I think money and prestige has more to do with it. If "I" was the one in her place, I'm sure I would have been immediately charged and then gone to trial.

I'm sure she feels terrible. She should be accepting the same punishment that ANYONE without money or fame would get. This two tiered system in California makes me sick to my stomach.

I'll keep the family of the deceased Mom in my prayers.

Brandy: My personal opinion ......... you should use this tragedy to promote something good. Show the world that fame doesn't or at least shouldn't BUY freedom. Take your punishment. Don't try to get out of it.

For the 100th time....she was not...it was investigated...she was not speeding, talking on her cell, or distracted...ALL OF THIS WAS INVESTIGATED and she was CLEARED.

97. just another case of money hungry relatives trying to cash in on a tragedy. i'd be rolling in my grave if any of my relatives ever did that. bottom line was that this woman was NOT an innocent victim, she was high (or had pot in her system); this could have happened to her at ANY time. brandy did not cause the accident. yes, its unfortunate but i don't feel sorry for this woman. we all make choices that bring about consequences and she made her choice by driving high. i don't understand why everyone wants to see brandy take the blame for this when she did nothing wrong

No one is denying that Brandy hit the woman's car. What's at issue is WHY she hit the woman's car. Was it because of negligence or was it because she had no control over what was happening in front of her (an accident) and couldn't respond to it the most effectively?

You are really cracking me up with this explaination above! First of all it's not up to the investigators to "prove her guilty". They are suppose to just look for the facts!! They aren't suppose to go "Let's target this person" they are ONLY suppose to look for the FACTs, and the fact is there is insufficient evidence to charge her with anything... thus they cannot PROVE that she IS at fault. Also if they really felt that they she WAS at fault there would have at least been a grand jury hearing.... if the department believes that she's guilty, are you telling me that they wouldn't had at least brought it to a grand jury, so they could at least hear what (you seem to imply) convinced them that she was?

We have grand juries to determine if someone should go to trial---- that didn't even happen!

If she was at fault, they would have EVIDENCE. But it appears that they don't. What you are saying is that the police have insufficient evidence yet have something to determine that she was at FAULT too.... that doesn't go hand and hand in the court of law.

A woman is dead here, and games shouldn't be played. If they felt that she was at fault, they would have at least filed charges... especially since the time to do so was running out. At least dragged the thing out and see if they could get a conviction--- not just drop it all together.

At the most, the police statement is just professional language to say they have no reason to prosecute her, because the evidence to show that she was at fault is just not there.

Now if you would like to play the "they must state it" game, then ok.

102. You people are only saying this because she is famous; If she wasn't famous you wouldn't say she should be sued or what not. No she shuldn't have been on the phone and she does admit she was driving fast but it isn't all her fault. There was a car that hit the poor lady that past and she hit someone else car as well. There was multiple cars in this incident so why is Brandy the only one being blamed here? To the person BB, was you there at the scene? I would like to know since you know exactly what happened and just know Brandy is the blame. Accidents happen that is why they are called that-a accident, its unfortunate that someone lost their life from it but this was truly a accident. If Brandy was a regular everyday person, she probably wouldn't even have been sued for money to begin with but since she does have celebrity status and money, everyone wants to blame her and put all the fault at her. She isn't the one who started the accident.
