Train Wrecks
Britney Spears -- Like a Virgin

Britney and her usual bevy of photogs moseyed over to the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Blvd. last night -- and grabbed a bag full of discounted merch from the soon-to-be-defunct music emporium. Them CDs are on sale, y'all!

The deviant diva kept the drama to a minimum -- but even a trip to a CD store can be chaotic when you're the queen of pop crazazyness. Virgin announced they will be closing the landmark store next month, when it will be back to Target for Brit Brit.

61. I agree with Diane T 100%. It's obvious Brit is mentally ill judging from her erratic and off the chart behavior. But in my opinion, what is so much worse and absolutely unforgettable is how she puts the lives of her children in danger when she gets behind the wheel her car. This didn't just happen once, but over and over, and dear God, let me be wrong, but I have a gut feeling that one of her children will not live long enough to see kindergarten. We have seen her almost drop Sean on pavement. The paps didn't help matters, but what conscientious mother carries her baby with just one arm, a drink in the other and wearing platform, platform shoes. No mother I know that's for sure. Also let's not forget poor Sean falling out of his high chair.

Before anyone tells me I must be the perfect mother, let me tell you that when it came to my three children when they were babies, they were never dropped, never fell from anything higher than their feet and never saw the inside of an emergency room for stitches, poison or burns. Therefore, I feel I belong in the tower of judgment.

63. What a bunch of decent human beings you folks are. You don't need to be Freud to see, even from a world of distance, that this young woman needs help and support from her family and from professionals. But she's been used since she was a preteen by people who are much more savvy and cynical than she has the capacity to be. And we all watch her life falling apart as though it's all fodder for our entertainment. On this very site she's been called a whore, amongst other names, and some of you have literally wished her dead.

It's actually amazing, reading these posts, how hateful people can be, especially towards someone none of us know but is clearly going through a personal crisis under the relentess glare of pubic scrutiny and judgement. Maybe that judgement should be shifted to her parents, the ones who were happy to exploit her as long as the money was rolling in and then abandoned her once things began to go south.

Personally, if I ever watched my child, however "old," shave her head in a frenzy the way Britney did, I never would have left her side from that moment own. And never in a million years would I publically support a money hungry son-in-law, posing as "father of the year," at the expense of my daugter, or my grandchildrens',long term mental health.

I think it's time you all descend from your Tower of Judgement.

64. #60-I'm listening. Smarmy and sarcstic is not necessary. My point, I thought, was pretty simple-that young woman is sick and needs help. Maybe the people who were willing to prostitute her years ago for financial gain should be at her side during her time of crisis-specifically her family. But they're not-she's of no use to them anymore.

Maybe she is, in your words, a BAD MOTHER....but isn't it possible that she's a mother in need of help and support and is in such a psychological funk and depression that she doesn't even get it? And to call her a whore-it doesn't even deserve a response

Excuse me for tryng to be humane and viewing this situation with some sense of perspective.
