E! renews 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' for a second season

Similar to her gal pal Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian has apparently made the successful transition from socialite to reality television starlet.

E! Network has ordered Keeping Up with the Kardashians for a second season, the network announced Monday. The first season of the reality series, which follows the entire Kardashian clan in their daily life, premiered on E! last month and has finished first among basic cable shows in its Sunday night time period in the Women 18-34 demographic, according to E!.

"The buzz surrounding the series is huge, and viewers have clearly fallen for the Kardashians," said Lisa Berger, E!'s executive vice president of programming and development.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a production of The Simple Life and The Real World producers Bunim-Murray Productions, as well as American Idol host Ryan Seacrests's Ryan Seacrest Productions.

"Seacrest and Bunim-Murray's unique ability to capture this family's one-of-a-kind dynamics and hilarious antics has made the series a fantastic addition to our prime-time lineup," said Berger. "We're delighted to announce a second season."

Kardashian is the daughter of the late Robert Kardashian, a defense lawyer mostly known for his work on the O.J. Simpson trial. However she officially became a media star in her own right when she befriended Hilton and the two were constantly captured on camera partying as only a pair of socialites can.

An X-rated video featuring Kardashian with her then boyfriend Ray J. hit the Internet earlier this year, causing her to file an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against porn production company Vivid Entertainment, which planned to release a DVD of the steamy footage. Kardashian eventually reached a multimillion-dollar settlement with Vivid and the video was taken off the market.

41. You people kill me with the racist comments. I am a black dude and "it is what it is." Reggie's dream as a boy was to one day get a white girl. Most black athletes are just like O.J., they gotta have one. Every white girl in American knows this ( from the good looking ,the sluts and the ugly) and the quickest way to get notice on any level is to date a black guy. So these two both got what they wanted. Kudos to them. However, there are a lot of white girls out there who are attention seekers, especially when daddy didn't show them any love when they were 7. If Reggie was not a football player ,she would have never dated him. Well.unless he said he was a rapper and was into hip hop music. That gets them a lot of attention ,these days, too. Just from my dating experiences, I stay away from white girls who are heavily into rap music and have issues with their parents,especially their dad's and are on Prozac. It's like , stay your crazy ass away from me ,please. I am not that guy! It's not a lot of white girls who are this way ,because the ones who don't have those issue ,usually are the coolest people you could ever meet and they don't fall for the hype. They mostly date only white guys. Personally , I don't think that's a bad thing, Most black women only date black guys. However, Those white girls who have all kinds of major issues, watch out! . Those type of white girls loooooove black men who are ghetto ,hip hop and have all the stereotypical traits that are protrayed in the media. Good sign ,they are f%$ up and want drama.
