59. Who decides who is white or not? For years/decades there were no boxes to check for those of us with ethnic back grounds in the middle east. Just because the U.S. government wants to lump people into easy color coded boxes doesn't mean that is what "we" consider ourselves. What does Kim consider herself? Armenian? American? My family is from Syria and Lebanon and I was born in L.A. Am I white? Heck no! I have relatives that are darker than most Mexicans. Are Mexicans white? Why not? A lot are mixed with Spanish and the Spanish by the U.S. is considered....white? What makes one "white?"
