Celebrity Justice
Britney's Shortest. Deposition. Ever.

TMZ was in Century City, Calif. as Brit Brit came -- and went -- from her scheduled deposition today. Why the rush?!

As K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan explained, the depo was originally scheduled to go from 9:45 to 11:45 AM. It poses a little bit of a problem when the person who is to be deposed shows up almost two hours late! Kaplan says the proceedings started around 11:32 AM and he was able to fire off a few questions before having to end at the scheduled time -- thirteen minutes later. So much for asking deep questions!

So why was the popwreck so tardy? He wouldn't say. But he did say another depo has been scheduled. As for seeking sanctions against her, Kaplan says he hasn't yet decided. But he might, if her behavior caused his client -- K-Fed -- any undue "hardships." Hasn't she already?

151. T.J., I do think I might be right, but it makes me very sad. Two beautiful precious little boys and two a**holes for parents. Neither of them deserve those children. I really think both parents should be investigated intensively and, sad to say, but maybe the children would be better off with a couple who will love and cherish them and not subject them to the insanity, drugs, alcohol, bad company ... shall I go on? Pray for the kids.

152. Something is wrong with Kaplan. If I wanted to get a deposition done and it had been scheduled again and again and the person finally showed then I would cancel all the rest of my appointments for the rest of the day. I mean, don't lawyers do that just like dentists and doctors? He is an idiot for only going for 15 minutes. I think he is looking for his 15 minutes of fame just like fed ex and as long as Brit Brit pulls this crap then his 15 minutes keep adding up. I think they all stink. Too bad parents can't be fired. But, if I was Kevin I'd get rid of this Kaplan guy. File a sanction already.

155. At the start of the Custody Battle, Kaplan said that if Britney offered enough money to K-Fed, they would back away. I'm talking about millions and millions of dollars. Well, she's not going to hand over her money to those useless lowlifes. K-Fed might get stuck with the kids - and no money - and that would be Great !!

156. I would love to see her get a really good, flesh eating lawyer. So far I am unimpressed with her representation. A really good lawyer could teach her to tie K-Fed an his in knots. It is in her best intrests to delay the whole proceedure for as long as she can and she is doing a reelly good job of that. A great lawyer, one with killer instincts and just a little luck could turn the court onto its ear, if K-Fed is caught with dope or even just using it the obvious question is who gets the kids and then who does she pay. If they were in state custody with both having supervised visits she could probably not have to pay him or his lawyer. The last nail is that K-Fed will be deposed at some point and she certanly has the goods on him and friends who could also hurt him.

Ahh, yes, Jim, she won't hand over her money, but she sure as hell didn't think twice about handing over her sons. Sad for those little boys to have this mess for a mother.

And, ahhh, yes, river rat ... if she HAD handed over her money, HE sure as hell wouldn't think twice about taking it and handing over his sons. Sad for those little boys to have this mess for a father.

159. She had to get home to see her children. Today is one of her visitation days where her children arrive at her home a 12:00 noon. She left the deposition to get home to be with her kids. Her children are her priority, NOT sitting talking about her past in some lawyer's office.

160. Then maybe she should have arrived on time?

161. ... for the deposition, that it. I think it was suppose to start at 9:30 a.m. If she wanted her kids back, she would have been there ON TIME, one would think, anyway.

162. # 159 -- TMZ knew that, that is why she had to leave when she did, that today was her visitation day with her boys, but TMZ loves to only tell half of the story when it suits them!! It suits them to imply that she left because............ so the reader can come up with their own worst reason. TMZ knew full well why she had to leave, that she was going to see her children, but they CHOSE to leave that out, because including it doesn't make a good NEGATIVE story about Britney.

163. Again, if she had to be home by noon for the boys, why couldn't she get herself to court on time for the depo?

164. #152 Tina - Why blame Kaplan. Brit the brat got up and left after 15 minutes. What is Kaplan supposed to do -sit on her to make her stay? She left because she is an immature brat who doesn't want to answer the hard questions and thinks she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to do. Just why she gets away with it I will never know. At the last one she was a no show but was seen out that day driving around and also seen that night partying. She has no business trying to raise those kids when she is more immature than they are.

165. Now why would he have further santions against britney? K fed doesn't want to be stuck with the kids and britney doesn't care. It's so obvious, she's begging for them to take them kids. They aren't listening because K fed doesn't want to lose his freedom. what a Joke!!! You know he's praying she straighten up so he can give back those kids and he can enjoy his life with her money. even with more money, raising kids isn't easy. You have to love your kids to put them first, which I doubt he wants to do. Britney is having all this fun with different guys. Just screwing around. SHE DOES NOT CARE!!!
